We got more than we bargained for. The Pitmaster is legit. We also received the best customer service from an absolute sweetheart. We sat in our car and ate it on the lot. ?

We were greeted by one of the two owners, “Heather” the wife, to be specific , and she was just a pleasure and a joy to listen to , very welcoming and presented a couple of specialty options, we had already scanned over the menu before arriving, we had decided on a classic pizza with meats and veggies , but being foodies and prior restauranteurs( specifically Hippie Chic’s River Shack / Hippies & Hops , in Concan, Tx.) we appreciate chefs and restaurant owners that push the envelope , think and create outside the box , we chose one of the new specials “The Sweet Southern Heat” topped with bacon, crumbled cornbread, jalapenos, mozzarella,dollops of house-made pimento cheese, and drizzled with hot honey , and oh, my-my! Soooo goood !!! Also split a greek salad ( so fresh and crisp) and the bread that everyone talks about with warm marinara sauce , & perfectly paired everything with a amazingly cold Hazy IPA. The service was spot on & the staff -joy filled!!! The other half , Co-owner, Justin ( husband of Heather)whom we were able to have a nice visit with made sure our food was timed and delivered perfectly, crust spot on crisp and perfect amounts of toppings. You gotta try this place out, you wont regret it!!! Oh and before you leave, grab a pint of their house-made gelato ( also expertly crafted)

309 Lafayette St, CastrovilleJust ate here today for the first time and it was good. I was so hungry so forgot to take pictures. We got the Alsatian (Reuben) and the landmark both were good. I got the pasta salad which was so delicious and the strawberry delight very refreshing my kids shared a cheeseburger and some fresh fruit. It does take a bit of time so don’t be in a hurry be patient and be kind. Staff was amazing. Definitely will be back.

We enjoyed the Mac and cheese, brisket and ribs. The corn we could have done without and was just ok. The ribs lacked much meat but were still good. The superstar was the brisket. Oh so moist and flavorful. It was even good the next day.

1012 US-90, CastrovilleMy husband and I passed by this restaurant several times. We lived in Hondo going on three years. We finally got a chance to stop in and eat breakfast. From the beginning of our entrance into the restaurant, we were greeted with kindness, respect, and we fell in love with the restaurant already. We were family in the eyes of our server and the staff. All smiled and actually gave us a feeling of being grateful that we were there. Not only is the service stellar, so was our food. I ordered the carne asada plate. It was delicious & outstanding. My husband ordered the three piece crispy tacos plate, it too was amazing & delicious. Not much to look at from the outside, but well worth stopping inside for a bite.

Made sure our food and experience was all good. She knows how to run this place and it definitely shows. I definitely will be back! The food and the environment is 11/10 ??
