1989 TX-16, BanderaWe have been using this vet clinic for years. It's a good, clean, newly remodeled facility with good doctors. It's convenient and has plenty of parking. It's a little busy, so be sure to schedule routine appointments in advance.

I first started working with them before the pandemic, where they helped me train my first service dog.
We would meet once a week for an hour, and he would basically teach me how to train the dog. We would go home and practice what we were taught, and the next week we would review and learn something new.
This not only taught me how to train the dog, but also helped to strengthen the bond between myself and my dog.
Fast forward to this year. My service dog was forced to retire early due to arthritis. Through Brice's instructions, I was able to find a suitable candidate for a replacement, and he even talked me into a breed I had heard about before, but only as military working dog: the Belgium Malinois.
I was concerned about it, but he was right to do so. He knew my personality and lifestyle, and knew it would be a perfect match for me.
We began training in January this year for public access and service dog tasks. We learned several PTSD related tasks, as well as scent detection and mobility tasks.
Whenever there was something I couldn't figure out, Brice sat me down and explained it to me more and helped me figure out the issues. Thanks to his careful and clear instruction, we were able to get the tasks down pat.
My Achilles is now a service dog with his K9 Good Citizen Certificate, and has been proofed with 3 tasks. We are also continuing to train to improve on a couple mobility tasks, and to teach him to get me help in the event of an emergency. (With my disabilities I'm in the ER a LOT.)
Brice is an amazing trainer, with lots of experience to bring to the table. He can help you in selecting an animal, as well as training them.
Whether you are looking to just teach basic obedience or the complex work of advanced training, Brice is your man.
Just keep in mind, owning a dog and training it is a LOT of work. If you aren't willing to commit, your dog will take advantage of you and be your leader. However, if you can commit to training your dog at least three times a day, listen to the instructions you are given, and staying consistent you will have a dog that people always compliment.

1134C Main Street, BanderaWhat a wonderful experience! My family and I absolutely loved everything. I had the pickle bacon sandwich with egg and cheese on Texas toast, and it was delicious! The food tasted homemade, the portions were perfect, and the service was amazing. The live music with a gentleman singing and playing guitar made the atmosphere so relaxing. We all cleaned our plates! 😂 No pictures because we were too busy enjoying our food. Definitely a must-visit!

The First National Ice Haus
317 Main St, BanderaWe came in to the First National icehouse after Django Walker canceled his show at 11th St. cowboy bar. Tim was bartending there was live music and great company. I cannot recommend this highly enough. We had a fantastic time hanging out and talking with Tim even past closing time. He took great care of us. The venue was fantastic and particularly appreciated. The fact that there was no smoking indoors. When I come back to Bandera, this will be the first place I stop. Make sure when you’re visiting this part of the Hill country that you stop in ask for Tim or whichever bartender is working. Enjoy yourself. Enjoy the time. Enjoy the venue and enjoy the city.

We sat at the bar both nights, had great service, and loved the spicy strawberry margarita. The beef tips were so tender and flavorful, and the pork chop was one of the best we’ve had in a long time — so good we ordered it again the second night!
Great food, drinks and service. We’d definitely go back!

Kickback Korner Bar and Grill
402 Main Street, BanderaThis is a classic small town texas bar. Bigger than a dive bar but with tbe same charm. Staff was friendly and kind.
Biggest takeaway is the properly made smash burger. It was truly flat and well seasoned with the right amount of sauce. If Bad Larry is a 5 this is a 4. Truly a gem.
Skip the chicken strips. Too breaded.
