The Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas Downtown receives mixed reviews highlighting both significant strengths and notable drawbacks. Its central location is consistently praised as great and perfect for visitors. Many guests find the rooms to be nice, comfortable, clean, spacious, and in good condition, with truly effective blackout blinds and well-functioning air conditioning noted by some. The staff receives frequent positive remarks, described as friendly, lovely, amazing, and helpful, with exceptional service highlighted in specific instances. Amenities like a well-equipped gym, an attached Starbucks, and a generally tasty breakfast with amazing items like blueberry scones are appreciated. However, several recurring issues detract from the experience. The mandatory valet service, while initially wonderful for some, is criticized for its high cost and an incident where a vehicle was left unlocked. The pool is repeatedly cited as absolutely freezing and too cold to use. Room problems include malfunctioning outlets, poorly working air conditioning in some cases, and terrible beds. The complimentary breakfast, while tasty for some, disappoints others due to a lack of non-dairy alternatives despite signage suggesting accommodation, leading to impressions of curt service. Overall, while many recommend the hotel for its comfortable rooms, excellent staff, and prime location, others find the amenities a disappointment, citing these operational inconsistencies.
Great location for what we were in town for. Carl was great at check-in. Valet is pricey, but the guys are great too. Evan was super prompt in retrieving my vehicle. Spacious clean rooms. Quick elevators. Really good one night stay.
