I took a chance on an exit off the freeway and found this place. It’s a gas station with a taqueria inside. We figured what the ‘ell, gas was only two dollars and some change; food should be inexpensive and if the food wasn’t good, we could just toss it. We ordered a chicken enchilada platter (with beans & rice), quesadilla and horchata. The food was cooked to order and the aroma was promising. We placed our order to go and cautiously ate while on the road. Our noses did not disappoint, it was right on point. That was some really good Mexican food! I’ve had my share of home cooked and horrible Mexican food. This was home cooked all the way. We did leave some left-overs, even that held up the next day! This food had some staying power. Very polite staff even though my Español was más o menos. I’m definitely coming back to this place and taking family and friends with me. Just remember, it is in a gas station; not a fancy Loves Gas Station either.”
