La Michoacana Meat Market is a clean store with excellent and delicious food, well worth the price. The taqueria lunch counter offers good lunch specials. However, the ordering process is confusing and convoluted, requiring multiple steps that can be discouraging. While the food is generally good, some experiences with specific items like ribs or fajita meat can be disappointing, being dry or tough. The store has everything needed for a great BBQ and many customers plan visits around the specials, excited to return and try other meats.
Their premade food in the hot case is delicious. The carnitas and barbacoa make great tacos.

Reasonably priced cooked dinner packs, get early as soon as they put out if later in the day it will be dry and they will still sale it. But you can’t go wrong with platillo either 12.99 for two meat, arroz, frijoles & a salsa.
