It was so fun seeing him make new friends and have such a great time playing. When we picked him up, he was happy, well cared for, and clearly had an amazing experience. The staff genuinely seem to love the dogs they care for, and it really shows. We’ll definitely be bringing Benji back. Highly recommend Jackson’s Place to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy place for their pup!

The entire staff is great but I wanted to take the time to recognize Maribel for the care and the meticulous attention she shows to the small dogs group. Even with such a large group, she still notices when my Binky—who is a senior Yorkie with arthritis—needs a break or a cuddle.
He has been a bit depressed since recently losing his brother, so I’ve been keeping a close eye on him. Time and again, I’ve noticed how sweet and caring Maribel is with him, as well as with all the other dogs. She never hesitates to sit down, play, and cuddle with each of the pups.
She truly has a huge heart, and I just wanted to say a very special thank you, Maribel. Your kindness has been noticed and is deeply appreciated.

They also have an adoption center, If you want to adopt cats, dogs, or even small mammals like guinea pigs and hamsters, this is the place. Give them orphaned animals a new life and support this amazing cause. Planning on coming back to donate or volunteer.

3201 Hwy 6 North, HoustonReally nice dog park for big and smaller dogs. This is my second time coming & I can tell everyone including their pets have manners. Everyone talks to everyone and it’s a really fun place for your doggy.

Millie Bush Dog Park
16101 Westheimer Rd, HoustonVery nice large dog park that offers two separate watering ponds for dogs to swim in on the large dog side also has an area for small dogs. Very large open space. Nice pathways and has ample trails and shade for patrons. However if your dog is afraid of deeper water they might not get into these ponds. Normally we go to Johnny Steele downtown but we were in the area and I always enjoy taking my Giant Schnauzer out for a run.

Houston Humane Society Animal Wellness Clinic
14810 Almeda Rd, HoustonI took my dog in for the removal of a mass. They did a great job. It’s super busy but they try to accommodate you. I saw Dr Vaughn and she was really a great vet. My dog is a little difficult because she doesn’t like being touched by certain people and becomes defensive. Dr Vaughn with Michael’s help were always so patient and I am really grateful they treated Ruby with care. I recommend them, but also be patient. The clinic sees a high volume of animals and it’s not just in and out as it would be at your private vet. I absolutely recommend. I also want to give kudos to Dr Malone who did Rubys first surgery, the sutures were impeccably done.
I am personally a fan of the humane society vet clinic.

Hale's Half Acre Pet Cemetery
11614 Dumas St, HoustonI had a positive experience with Hale's Half Acre Pet Cemetery. Dare was very communicative and answered all of my questions which helped reassure me that this was where I wanted my sweet girl to be buried. When we got there, Carlos had already prepared the site for my baby. He was very gentle during the process, extended his condolences, told me where to find supplies to water flowers if I brought them, and reminded me that I can come anytime to be with my pup. The cemetery is a really nice place filled with cherished pets, and it was comforting to see all of the precious headstones and know my furbaby was resting alongside so many other beloved animals.

Donna's brother flew with the puppy from Texas to Seattle. He was very kind and took fantastic care of the baby. I was terrified to buy a puppy from some one I have not meet face to face and to have the baby flown from Texas to Seattle but Donna and her brother made it easy and worry free. I would highly recommend this breeder. Donna is fantastic and her babies are amazing.

2929 Allen Pkwy, HoustonSuch a great park!! Fully fenced, with separate areas for big and small dogs. Working water fountains and even hoses to wash your dog if needed. Plenty of space, kept pretty clean and there are garbage cans throughout. Owners seem to be attentive when we were there. Fun splash pool is so cute.

901 Pinemont Dr, HoustonSuch a lovely, dedicated group of people! I came in to adopt a younger kitten as a companion for my current cat, and left with the sweetest girl. She was shy at first but opened up right away and is now just as playful and full of energy as her brothers. Thank you so much to Stephanie and the other members of Best Friends Houston for helping out with this adoption, as well as providing all of her current needed medication, vaccination records, spay, and chipping - Poppy is an absolute darling ❤

The two amazing ladies there are very nice. They showed us the cats and let us spend time with the kittens we were interested in. Not only did we adopt one cat but we adopted three. They are amazing cats, very well taken care of and very well trained. My kids and I are very happy with the three and the kittens have adjusted wonderfully and love us very much!!
