“First time at the Rooftop Cinema, and I was very impressed! It’s simple yet still works awesomely! My wife and I went as a anniversary date night. It’s around Halloween time so we saw the conjuring movie! Everyone wears a headset to listen to the movie. Volume can be adjusted. It was a perfect evening, perfect weather, it made the whole experience perfect!”

“THIS PLACE IS TOP NOTCH!!!I took my high school class on a field trip here. 30 teenagers and 2 adults. They were AMAZING! They responded to every email almost instantly, and I sent many over many months. They were so accommodating while planning with/dealing with a public school district, I even went the day before and the employee (I think Hannah) walked me through the establishment. Showed me where the students would would be and walked me through the whole process.I was very nervous taking so many people. This was the smoothest field trip day I have every had. My students LOVED it. They had sooo much fun and ask me everyday if we can go again.I am not posting pictures due to privacy of students. But they had a blast. I assigned them a 7 paragraph essay connecting the concepts we cover in class to their experience in the escape room. It was due over a break when students were not in school. I got every single assignment turned in and turned in on time!!! That was a first and shows how much they really did enjoy this and how seamlessly it was able to be connected to our academic content.I can not remember all of the names of the employees that were there. (Please feel free to contact me so I can add your names) But they were just THE BEST. Dealing with that many high school students is not always the easiest, the students were excited to be off campus and were a bit rowdy. These employees were just so nice and helpful and I can not think of more ways to say this but they were simply great. I am truly hoping to make this an annual trip for my classes.I give more than 5 stars.”

The moment I drove onto the property, I knew this was the venue for me. It felt like being transported straight into a storybook — the ivy, the ornate details, the moody, romantic aesthetic. It’s love personified in a building. Exactly the “dark academia meets Beauty and the Beast” vibe I dreamed of!

And then there’s Lisa — an absolute beast (in the best way possible)! She’s fierce, on top of every detail, and keeps you grounded from the very start. She’s quick to remind you of the logistics and finer points that make the day run flawlessly. I appreciated her so much for that — she kept me focused and organized while constantly reassuring me that I was in the most capable, protective hands.

On the day of the wedding, everything came together perfectly. Guests kept telling me it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to, and I know so much of that is thanks to the venue and Lisa’s expertise.

You go there to see some art and run into people who you might see all the time or you perhaps haven't seen in years. It's a long-time Houston institution. It's a space to keep your eyes on and engage whenever anything interesting pops up. It's where you will start your night so be ready for more fun elsewhere after your visit.”

“I was there for the Juneteenth Houston Press Conference and Kickoff. I love the EB. I wish we had something like it in my community. Very nice, very well kept, friendly staff. The finger that's they passed looked really good. I only ate a deviled egg and week drummette, but both were delicious. I asked about rental process. I'd like to do an event there. There was another event happening downstairs as well.”

“A couple of years ago, we faced the difficult task of organizing a memorial for my brother, and we chose the Formula Garage in Houston as the venue. From the very beginning, the experience was made truly memorable and heartfelt by the owner himself. They went above and beyond to ensure the day was as special as it could be under such challenging circumstances. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made all the difference.

What made the experience even more meaningful was the incredible display of McLaren cars at the venue. McLaren happens to be our last name, and my brother and I always shared a deep love for the brand. We would often joke and argue over who would be the first to buy one. Seeing those sleek, powerful cars lined up at the Formula Garage was an unexpected yet deeply personal touch that felt like a tribute to our shared dreams. I could almost feel his presence there, smiling and nudging me as if to say, “I told you I’d win.”

Not only did we host the memorial at the Formula Garage, but we also rented the adjoining home for our immediate family to spend the night together. This gave us the opportunity to share more time and reflect on the cherished memories we held of my brother. The house was absolutely stunning—beautifully designed, spacious, and filled with unique touches that felt so fitting. My brother would have loved it; it truly felt like a space that honored his spirit and passions.

Although it was an incredibly emotional day, the atmosphere and care provided by the host made it easier to navigate. The venue itself was immaculate, with a warmth and energy that allowed us to celebrate my brother’s life in the way he deserved. The staff and owner turned what could have been an unbearably difficult day into one filled with love, meaning, and even a few smiles; and for that I will always be grateful.”

“Did a wedding here on a Saturday night. Beautiful interior and great venue… parking is front is limited but i believe there is a larger lot in back… not fun for ladies on a cold rainy night. But that is ONLY negative.”

“We went for the light event, so cute and magical. There is loads to see, the trail is a really good length to walk. We took our 20 month old and she walked majority of it. The displays are phenomenal, thought out really well.”

“I had the pleasure of DJing a Debut at this venue for my client. There are many positives to this space from the client side. I'll list a few: Gorgeous design. Spacious layout. Bright, luxe decore. Powerful and modern lighting and sound capability (I saw the equipment but didn't use). Welcoming and attentive staff. Ample parking. Nice bar, lobby and bathrooms. My only regret was the lack of cell service, due to the building construction (metal?). Also, the provided venue wifi was not strong enough to run our wifi enabled photo printer, so printing was sporadic. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars. Connectivity aside, this venue is a great location for upscale social or corporate events.”

The servers and bartenders were incredibly attentive and professional, making sure our guests were well taken care of the entire night.

A huge shoutout to DJ Nereo for keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long! And special thanks to John and Jadi for their exceptional service and dedication — they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

“We saw a fun Christmas show with several well-known local musicians who put on a great show. The venue is retro, but very interesting and well suited as a concert venue. Book early if you want to reserve a table up front, but there is plenty of floor and balcony seating. We sat downstairs in the row seating and the views were fine. Next time, we'll probably try balcony seating to get that view of the show. We look forward to attending more concerts here in the future.”

“Wonderful views of Downtown Houston, I haven’t tried all food but I was bit impressed with the tacos I had. Overpriced and meat wasn’t seasoned and too dry. The venue is very nice however after being there for an hour there isn’t much to do.”

“this place is a hidden gem. It's literally next to an auto towing storage place on a small street so it's a little confusing when people arrive and see the exterior, looks almost like a warehouse, BUT it's gorgeous inside. I got the quince package that included basically everything, tables, chairs, linens, quince table, flowerwall or red carpet, centerpieces, table settings, DJ, uplighting system, full wall projects, bar access (1 bartender /100 guests, garnishes and mixers), servers, catering, cake, fruit table, photo & video, photobooth, limo (we actually swapped out limo for 4 additional servers so we could have a sit down dinner instead of buffet style), gift & cake tables, unlimited water, tea and lemonade, outdoor patio space, event coodrinator, courtesy officer and cleaning staff. They have smaller packages, but I wanted the least amount of stress possible. Rosy and Alexis were really good at answering all my questions and providing the best services. One of my favorite things about this venue is their event organization system. I made all the payments online, they have an online portal where I could ask any questions, review our contract, make payments, etc. Most venues I visited did not have this, they just give you a hand written paper receipt and that's it. I'm a s***** for doing things online, so this was really high on my list of things I loved. Another thing I liked a lot was the full wall projectors. I personally made the design of the projection I wanted (I'm OCD like that) but it gave a really nice ambiance to the entire room. I'd never seen anything like this before. I always see just 1 or 2 small projectors or sometimes TVs that have the quinces name and that's it. Also, the fact that they have basically surround sound, that the DJs just hook up to was amazing. Not one of our guests had to sit in front of the large speaker DJs usually have. The DJ just hooks up to their speaker system and that's it. It actually leaves more space for the tables and whatnot. So I can't rave enough about this place. The centerpieces were beautiful. We absolutely loved it. The service Alexis provided on the day of was perfect. All the vendors we worked with through the venue were great. They don’t cut any corners at all. The VIP room in the back is perfect for getting ready. Spacious bathrooms and lots of mirrors for the teens & young adults taking selfies. Overall an amazing venue.”

“I went there to pick up an Amazon package, but was pleasantly surprised. The unusual art items in this store were great... Some of which I plan on returning to purchase. A few are a little pricey, but they are one of a kind pieces done by local artists!”

We weren't happy with parking Apex parking people - they had a huge section roped off for valet and not a lot of cars and a small section for handicap. They were making handicap people walk. A supervisor was rude when an attendant tried to ask. I heard him say, " Tell them they have to walk."
Other than that, everything was great at NRG.”

“Very nice intimate venue with helpful and respectful staff. Food and drinks are a little expensive, but I expect that at nearly any venue anymore. Parking was easy to find. Underground parking may be accessed from Rusk/Brazoz Street. Last night was my first visit to this venue to see Brit Floyd (a British Pink Floyd tribute band). I will definitely return.”
