Yes you need a quarter if you want a shopping cart, yes it is better to bring your own bags, yes they carry more house brands, but the value and low costs are 100% worth it.
I don't do all of our shopping here but I do a fair amount for many staple items and it has significantly helped stretch our grocery budget...just beware of the Aldi Finds Aisle so you don't spend more than you expected on all the cool stuff!”

“I ventured into the grand kingdom of HEB with a single mission etched into my soul: retrieve the butter and leave before temptation claimed me. But the gods of grocery stores had other plans. No sooner had I crossed the threshold than I was ambushed by the scent of warm, fresh-made tortillas — soft, buttery, practically whispering my name like sirens calling sailors to their doom. I pressed on, only to stumble into the bakery section where the fresh bread radiated a golden glow straight out of a fantasy epic. Loaves so divine they could turn even the strongest-willed shopper into a carb-devouring beast. I may have shed a single tear.
Yet despite the distractions, the detours, and the spiritual struggle, I remained steadfast. My quest led me through winding aisles of abundance — a selection so vast it felt like wandering a labyrinth designed by grocery-loving demigods. But then, at long last, shining like treasure in a dragon’s hoard, I spotted it: the Irish butter. Rich, creamy, glorious, and gloriously mine. I seized it triumphantly, knowing that though many temptations had crossed my path, my mission was complete. And yes… I may have grabbed a bag of tortillas on the way out. Don't judge me. But all in all, no store does more than my HEB.. although I would say maybe some Brand merch would be nice. I think a lot of people would totally wear an HEB t-shirt”

Even while moving quickly to keep the line flowing (which Aldi cashiers are known for!), she took the time to smile, greet each customer warmly, and handle everyone’s items with care. She struck the perfect balance between speed and kindness.
When I had a quick question about a product, she answered confidently and even pointed me in the right direction for next time. Her positive attitude genuinely made the checkout experience enjoyable. It’s little moments like that — a warm smile, a polite conversation, and efficient service — that turn an ordinary errand into a great customer experience.
Overall, it was a smooth, affordable, and pleasant shopping trip. Aldi continues to impress me not just with its prices, but with its customer service as well. I’ll definitely be back!”

“If you want great prices but limited selection you have to go to their Joe V's. This you get the modern clean new shopping experience but you have to shop the sales and coupons for good prices. Great pharmacy. Good produce section. Big on wine and beer but not great prices. HEB, on the whole, is great for fresh Texas products and good at supporting the community, so occasionally Republicans get mad at them.”

“I won't lie. It looks run down and it kinda is. But the prices are decent and the staff is fairly friendly. More importantly, they were fast less than 4m for them to check out the person in front of me with a full cart. Oh and love those blue bell ice cream prices.”

I spoke with the owner who was there and he said the timing will be normal times of 7-11 everyday, which is really great for me.”

“Brunch today included barbacoa, carnitas, aguacate, salsita, and some nopales con cebolla that we added eggs to. Everything was from Supermercado La Mexicana minus the beans and eggs. It was all delicious!! The avocados were located by the register and were perfect once opened. I also stocked up on some seasonings like menudo mix, canela, and chile de arbol. We can always count on this store for our authentic Mexican cravings. ?”
“By far the best pharmacy I've ever had. The workers are always extremely polite and professional, such a rare thing these days. Everything is always ran smoothly, a huge difference from places like CVS pharmacy, or Kroger pharmacy where nothing ever goes right and it's pure chaos. Keep it up, I always recommend this location because of the incredible pharmacy employees.”

“This seems like it is a family owned business so they open and close as they please. Business hours listed on here aren't right. I've lived next to this store for two and a half years and the earliest I've seen it open is 8am. They do always close at 10pm though. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, there is a taco truck that is parked out there. Truck usually gets there at 4-5pm and stays till 11pm on Friday and Saturday and 10pm on Sunday. This small store has the basic necessities such as milk, ham, eggs, bread, tortillas, and canned goods. They also have household items like toilet paper, detergent and soap as well as hygiene items like shampoo, deodorant, pads, and razors. Of course chips, drinks and beer is here also. It is a bit pricey though! But if you don't want to make the trip to Walmart to get basic things, I guess it's worth it.”
