OYO Hotel Killeen East Central is a cost-effective hotel located right off the interstate. The hotel is in the process of updating, so expectations should be managed, but the value is considered more than fair. It is conveniently and centrally located, near stores like H-E-B and Walmart, as well as various local eateries. Multiple reviews highlight friendly and accommodating staff, with specific praise for the manager's hospitable and great customer service. Guests describe the hotel as a clean place to sleep and shower, with rooms that are neat and warm. Amenities noted include a cold AC, a large flat-screen TV with working cable, and warm towels. The hotel served as a well-needed place of solace for a guest during a stressful community-wide freeze, with staff promptly addressing maintenance issues like a small water leak. While the property is undergoing updates, it provides a comfortable and grateful stay for those seeking a practical, value-oriented option.

This is the worst place I've ever stayed at, and I've lived in the middle of nowhere in the Sahara desert. Absolutely atrocious. Woke up with a bedbug staring right at me. Lobby smelled of smoke. Should have known when I saw the caution tape on the front door.
