About Candlewood Suites Killeen - Fort Hood Area by IHG
Candlewood Suites Killeen - Fort Cavazos Area by IHG offers a generally positive experience with friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms. Guests appreciate the fully stocked rooms and the convenient kitchenette, which is especially helpful for longer stays. The staff, including a standout employee, goes above and beyond to assist guests, providing restaurant recommendations and handling issues with care and professionalism. Despite the absence of breakfast, the hotel offers vouchers for nearby dining, which some guests find helpful. The location is convenient, close to many places guests want to visit.
However, some reviews mention issues such as a strong smell in one of the rooms and a loud, constantly running toilet. The gym is small with limited equipment, and laundry facilities have problems, with only one washer functioning and dryers leaving stains on clothes. One guest noted the hotel’s overall better-than-expected quality and comfort, highlighting the large, comfortable mattresses. Overall, Candlewood Suites provides a friendly environment with helpful staff, though some amenities and room conditions could be improved.
