“Brookshires has really good gas, and the price for gas is great right now. Even when it's congested things move along quickly. The regulat attendant is good and friendly, but there are some at times who don't appear to know what they're doing, or they may become overwhelmed by having so many people.”

“Update: EXTREMELY IMPRESSED I'd originally giving them one star wrote a pretty bad review, legitimately. The owner reached out to me and went out of his way to correct the issue that I had. When I went into the store and spoke with the manager she was very polite and understanding. I have to say that I it's completely taken off guard with all of this it is not why I put up a review and it was very unexpected. It is also greatly appreciated. In hindsight, I could have handle the situation differently myself. Just know that if you have any type of issue at this gas station I am assured that given the opportunity both the management team and/or the owner will do everything that they can to correct and/or accommodate any issue you have. And they'll do it with politeness and a smile. Again, I am extremely impressed and appreciative. Thank you!”

“The U-joints in my truck failed and we brought my Dodge 1500 truck in for repairs. The shop was busy and we expected to have it back in a week or so. This place had my truck repaired in just one day, despite having to also replace the driveshaft, and they charged a very reasonable price. I will definitely be bringing my automotive repairs here in the future. A great mechanic is hard to find. THANK YOU FOURTH STREET AUTOMOTIVE!”

“This location is constantly busy at least when I stop. Good for business of course. The staff are all nice and friendly. There’s two individual that shouldn’t work the same time they both are paced/multitasking challenged. Stood in like for at least five minutes if not more. Overall, there diversity has always been a plus Young/Older and so forth.”

“I Just left here and couldn't say enough about how well the customer service was. There were two Hispanic ladies working and as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a hello, and a smile. When I went to pay for my items one of the ladies came around the corner asking if the phone in her hand was mine we had both just left the restroom. I told her no as it wasn't mine but to know that she was a honest person was a plus. The other woman who rang me up asked if I had a phone number with them and I told her I didnt but still she discounted my drink. Very lovely humans working there. This place also offers a variety of Icee flavors that no one else does. Try the orange dreamcicle! Anyhow great Job Exxon for finding quality employees!”

“Almost ready to take away a star or two. System messing up again (been going on a couple of weeks) & unable to use our fuel points for the discount. Staff tried to help repeatedly but computer(?) issues prevailed. Continued issues with the app & alternate Id # had to be reentered several times. Longview needs a bigger, better kroger!”

The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.
Read the postLove's Travel Stops is starting 2025 with ambitious growth plans, adding 20 new stores and updating 50 current locations across the country. The truck stop company will upgrade its stores through its Strategic Remodel Initiative, which started in 2022. This includes the modernization of its recently acquired turnpike location in Stroud, Oklahoma. By 2035, over half of Love's 655 stores will be either new or updated.
Read the postTexas-born Buc-ee's is changing the way people think about gas stations and convenience stores. This chain is known for its huge stores along highways, some with over 100 fuel pumps. With its funny billboard ads, award-winning clean bathrooms, and branded items Buc-ee’s is hard to miss. The company wants people to actually plan to stop at Buc-ee's during road trips, not just go there as a last resort. And it's working - the chain has a huge fan base, with Facebook groups dedicated to Buc-ee's having hundreds of thousands of members.

The company announced plans to open four more locations across metro Detroit, weeks before opening its first Michigan location. More locations are planned for Taylor, Warren, and Macomb Township, each employing around 30 people, mostly full-time.
Read the postLove's Travel Stops is rolling out a new system that turns work into a game for its restaurant employees. Picture this: Three big screens in each restaurant, tracking how fast workers greet customers, take orders, and hand out food. It's not just for show - early results say it's making service 11 seconds faster on average. "These monitors track key performance metrics in real-time, such as greet times, order processing times and the time it takes for food handoff," Love's explains. The system creates a more interactive environment, fostering friendly competition between stores.
