“Filled up my 2013 Avalanche with 25 gallons of gas at $1.79 per gallon. I got a $.70 discount from shopping at United Supermarkets in Lubbock. Wonderful people who take your groceries to your vehicle and none of them will accept a tip for what they do. We always shop at United!!!!!!”

“I have been going to MJ Grocery since they opened. The people who own it run it and are from India. They are very nice and friendly. They have basic covenant store stuff, along with adult beverages, cigarettes/cigars/blunt papers/smokeless tobacco/e-cigarettes...etc Prices are good and way better than the 7-11 across the street (or whatever it is now). Go in an visit these folks, recommend them to all my friends who need to make a quick stop for something.”

“My parents who are both in their 90s shop at Market Street on 50th in Lubbock. I really wanted to send the management a nice note about how great the service is. Dad had a list of items to pick up and because they have multiple carts that he can ride in the store, he was able to shop with my assistance and get everything on his list. I was struck by how friendly and helpful all the staff were. Great customer service!!! One man offered to bring the cart to my father. Another very nice young lady followed us out to the car to return the cart. I noticed another man on a cart who purchased a lot of items and several employees helped him out to load his car. You just don't receive this great service at pretty much anywhere. Kudos to United for thinking of seniors and kudos to all the great employees who went out of their way to be helpful.”

“This gas station used to be a 7-11. Even since the change to a DK it is one of my favorite gas stations to go to when I'm in Lubbock. It's small, the store and restrooms are usually clean and he cashiers are usually friendly”

“Went here for the first time today. This place is awesome. The beer prices are good and they have a pretty good selection for as small as it is. The employees were super friendly as well. Perfect place for a quick stop for beer/snacks or Indian foods/spices”

“My favorite station. The older guy with the painted finger nails is a bit rude though. One night I payed cash for gas and went out to pump it. I pulled the nozzle thinking I should get .20 cents off and once I saw I didn’t I put the nozzle back. I was a day ahead of the discount and went back in the store to ask the cashier to restart the pump. He replied no. I told him I didn’t receive my gas yet and he told me that was not his problem and I had to pay again. I said all you have to do is look and see that I haven’t pumped gas and restart the pump. He again responded with no. I asked to speak for the manager and he said she is home asleep. I then asked for her # and he said no. I again said just restart the pump so I can get my gas and go. He said no you have to pay again. I then stated. How about you gone me my $40 back and I will go somewhere else. He then said if you didn’t get gas the money will go back on your card. I said I paid cash. He then asked to see my receipt and I showed him. He then said oh yea that’s right. He then restarted the pump. I left the store and went out to pump my gas. As I waiting a lady came up to me and said young man I am so proud of you. She told me I handled the situation well while dealing with a rude employee.”
“During hard times like funerals buying flowers is not an easy thing to do. The last thing you want to have happen is have the flower shop gouge you. I searched online several flower shops in the area and they all seemed pretty high priced for what you got. The funeral director told me about Market Street and said they get a lot of flowers from there and they are always very nice so I called. I am so glad I did. The saleswoman was so sweet. I needed something but didn't really know exactly what and told her to make it BIG and beautiful and above all "Classy" because my best friends mom was just that. A classy woman! She even helped me with the card. I started it and she helped me make it absolutely perfect. I am so grateful for her on that day when it was so hard. She made it a special occasion during a very hard time. My friend sent me a thank you that said it took up the whole of one wall and was "BREATHTAKING". I am sure from looking at photos online that Market Street did this for 10%-20% what other florists in the area would have charged me. Not only that, but she was so patient and caring with me. I wanted to personally thank her.”
