“It was not the best experience I had, but it was still a good experience. Staff was a little uptight at first, but then were cool peeps. They were probably frustrated about something but knew not to take it out on the customers. Prices were great, but be careful with the "hidden" fees that can transpire later. Also, make sure you check with your insurance that they cover rentals or that you buy a temporary one from a third-party before you go because if not, they will charge you for their insurance, and it's much pricier. Oh, and they are not located at the airport, so keep that in mind. They do have shuttle that picks you up and dos you off during their business hours... and you can return it at the hotel across the street from the airport after hours, but take photos before you leave the car rental site and when you return the vehicle, just to be in the safe side (they prefill the condition of the car in their form/contract agreement, so they don't walk out with you to view the vehicle). But in the end, it wasn't a bad experience, and the car had no issues other than the tire reading low only minutes after I drove off, so I had to stop at a gas station and pay $2.00 for air.”
“I've rented vehicles from here many times and have never had any issues and have never been overcharged nor had any extra fees added. Everything is real transparent, the employees are super friendly and helpful. Will definitley continue to rent vehicles from here. Last trip I took they even gave me a free premium upgrade to a Chrystler 300 because the car I reserved wasn't ready yet. I wish I was able to give more stars.”
“I rented a car from Hertz in MCAllen at the airport. When we arrived the service agent Cassandra said all computers are down all over. She was able to hand write our rental agreement and said she would follow up when they were back up. She was attentive and very professional. I went back to airport later in the day to finalize agreement with payment and Jose did a great job and was helping put all agreements in the computer. Thanks Hertz for a great experience even when computers are down.”
