“I recently visited the supermarket to buy vegetables and the unique warm bolillo, I discovered the optics they have inside, it was a great surprise! They offer amazing deals on frames, so I decided to take advantage of the opportunity. The attention was excellent; The staff is very friendly and professional, helping me find the perfect model for me. I loved the convenience of being able to do my regular shopping and also walk out with new glasses at a great price. I definitely recommend it!”
“Great Asian market
Huge variety of goods available.
Love the produce section.
Check out the fresh bakery too
Lots of parking.”
“Good pricing, like to go every week ,but not fully satisfied, during summer water cases keep outside the store every day . No coconutes available for couple of months after hiking price unfairly .”
“Huge shout out to this HEB pharmacy. It’s really exceptional. Staff is always helpful and kind. Transferred my Rx’s over about a year ago from a big name pharmacy and couldn’t be happier. Prescriptions are ready on time or earlier, good communication between update calls and HEB app, and staff is alway professional.”
“Joe V's is a decent discount grocery store. They have some name brand products but mostly off brand. I short it a star because there are always so many people in the store. It makes the shopping experience less enjoyable and can be overwhelming.”

“Attention H-E-B management and Owner! This morning I was in need of 200 donut holes and I looked on the app and it told me the highway 6HEB had donut holes available. So I woke up early and headed to the store to buy three trays when I get there they were nowhere to be found. I saw a wonderful young lady by the name of Krystal , who said oh yes ma’am we have those they’re on the back counter. When she went to look for them, there were none available. She then found a lady with a walkie-talkie and said this woman needs three trays of our donut holes. I then asked, can they be made? Krystal told me yes they can be done in about 10 to 15 minutes. But the lady with the walkie-talkie insisted it’d be 30 minutes or longer because she had to find somebody else. I was willing to wait the 30 minutes, even though it was gonna push me back for volunteering this morning and the food I needed was for the volunteers. 10 minutes and I still don’t see the lady with the walkie-talkie who was supposed to be going to ask somebody else if they could be made. Krystal notices. I’m still waiting and says ma’am do you need those for today or for another day? I said I need them for today like 10 minutes ago. Juliann then stepped up and said I’ll make them for her. So Julie and Kristell went to work. Julian quickly put together three trays for me and within five minutes. I was ready to go. I’m super thankful for Julianne and Kristell who stepped up to make customer service A+ plus at H-E-B this morning. Not having these donut holes would have put our volunteers in a hungry disposition this morning as we are serving the community and handing out backpacks and school supplies. So I wanted to let HEB know that there are two amazing employees Kristell and Julian deserve a standing ovation! I didn’t get the other name of the lady who couldn’t help me, but she seemed bothered by trying to assist me so I’m grateful that these two women stepped up to give me the incredible customer service that HEB has always provided me with! Thank you so much for all that you do! And again kudos to Julianne and Kristell”
“I Shop here often for my catering Business. Food always fresh. Clean. Quick.
Had to remove a star because of the terrible bagging practices in curbside. Meat should not be bagged with other items. Chemicals should not be bagged with food. Five glass jars should not be bagged in a single plastic bag.”

“Everything is excellent. The staff are very polite and respectful, and everything is wonderful. Their bread is fresh and delicious, and everything is very nice. Thank you for everything.”
“I stopped by during a lunch break and expected to be in a hurry, but everything went smoothly. Plenty of checkout lanes were open, and I was back at work with time to spare.”
“The best underrated full sized neighborhood grocery stores in Houston. Good prices and it's always easy to get in and out of the parking lot, unlike those super sized stores.”
“This shop is small but definitely has a great selection. I didn’t know what I was looking for, but, I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with things that felt like home, Jamaica, and so I just grabbed some things. I particularly was looking for the Grapefruit Tings, and they definitely had more than enough. Prices are very reasonable. I had a lot of questions when it came to pricing, and was helped with those promptly. I told my coworker about this store, who Trindad. There’s a shirt I seen that I really want for him… so I just might be back.”
“Staff is always friendly! I always find everything I need and is close to home so it's very convenient to come here and grab what I need without waiting in long lines.”
“A very efficient sort of store, less walking needed to get what you need. Prices are excellent, and I have always found the people to be very nice that work there. I have to watch certain food additives in my diet, and Aldi tends to have healthier choices (less chemicals added). I guess being a German company, they were naturally going to be efficient and they are. I find that their price on a lot of things I buy tend to be a buck or more cheaper than other stores. (Guacamole and tortilla chips, potato salad, fresh mushrooms, English Muffins, Bagels, bacon and sausage, and those stuffed salmon fillets all tend to be at least a dollar cheaper than other stores). they don't have as many choices for each type of food, but if you are buying basic items they tend to offer a very good option. Their milk and egg storage is a little difficult to contend with - not stocked right at the door so much, but you have to reach in and perhaps lift something to get at it, but not a big deal.
It took me a few trips there to figure out what I liked and where to find it. Now it saves a lot of time and needless walking. And I end up saving a decent amount with each visit. I don't much care for their cart system, since it does not cycle through the entire stack of carts. (should be FIFO, not LIFO for you computer geeks out there). So the ones that get used a lot have the tread worn off the tires, (but they still roll OK).
I carry an insulated bag in my trunk, so that holds the cold stuff as i load the food into my car.
They tend to operate with only 1 cashier, but that person is very fast. If they get backed up, they open another lane. No complaints, and they always greet you nicely. I think the parking lot arrangement could be a bit more efficient, but it is not too bad. They offer curbside pickup, but I have not tried it.
A great option for a normal trip to the grocery, since you save time and money on excellent quality items. If you want to buy in bulk or want to choose from 30 types of peanut butter, then perhaps one of the bigger stores is a better fit.”

“Good store but, damn, way too busy ALL the time. Definitely has the best seafood choices and always fresh. Plus, occasionally they have great sales on fruit. More perks at Kroger such as points toward reduction in price for gas. I go to both...”
“I had a good experience shopping at ALDI. The store was clean, and it was easy to find the items I needed. The prices were reasonable, and the produce looked fresh. Checkout was quick, and the staff was friendly. Overall, it was a convenient place to shop, and I'd come back again.”
“Found so many good deals here today! Went to get frozen eggplant because a friend told me how good it is. Can't wait to make eggplant parmesan in a day or two!”

“It's great to see a lot of new halal meat options opening up in the local area. This one happens to be one of our regular favorites for a while now. Sometimes we order from here just out of habit, even though we have closer options. Always happy with the quality of the meats.”
“I love this Walmart. Very fast checkout and super convenient. I changed to 4 stars because they are always out of wet cat food. I really wished they would order more to keep the shelves stocked.”
“We have eaten there several times in the past but never never breakfast 🥞🍳, I was somewhast disappointed 😞, the proportions are 🚫 the same but the prices went up somewhat as well 😔 like great amount of business establishment as well,”
“My favorite place to go to eat and shop, I love the friendliness of the owners and some of the employees, but above all, their food and the posole and Menudo and La Cosina are delicious ? recommended and if they are raw, there are friends the miches in the morning just to drink it Don't take out there and everything with measure is familiar, oh, minor children, I love this place and the owner, my friends.”
“El Ahorro Supermarket #1 is a great place to shop for affordable groceries and a wide selection of Latin products. The store usually has good prices and a variety of fresh produce, meats, and everyday essentials.
It’s especially convenient if you’re looking for authentic ingredients that are sometimes harder to find in other supermarkets. The store is well stocked and practical for regular shopping.
Overall, it’s a solid neighborhood supermarket with good options and reasonable prices.”
“It has long lines it’s an ethnic shopping grocery store catered to the Hispanic market. It has a good selection of produce and a great bakery. The restaurant/food court is ok. Used to sell tacos outside of the grocery store but they have stopped doing that.”

“Love the curb side pick up it's very helpful with this pandemic and being a mother of 5 kids from 11 to 1 it helps me not expose them to this virus. The fruits and vegetables are as if I were to pick them.”
“For a gringo like me I was a little lost in this store. But the assistant manager Nancy was very helpful and respectful in directing me to exactly what I was looking for.”
“The store was very clean, the employees were very friendly. This is very far from my house but I would definitely come back if I could but it was very enjoyable. Thank you I’m impressed but especially for this to be a Walmart”
“Nice that there's a hot food bar counter-style with varieties of food ready to go. Avoid the egg rolls as they are too greasy and salty but the beef ribs were seasoned so well (delicious!) and you have a choice between white rice and Mexican rice. They have spaghetti with sliced sausage in it too and macaroni pasta salad. Fried chicken and French fries.”

“I have never seen a fiesta store so nice before. This one gives good vibes and it’s clean. Yes, a few spills in the veggie and fruit side but I seen someone clean it up. The store is very large in size. They have a few different stores like phone repair, jewelry, sombreros, and other stores inside of the fiesta mart. Items were easily found. I did appreciate the low prices in today’s economy, but I dislike the fact the stores of all kind don’t really carry chicken breast with the bone in. Everything is boneless breast unless you buy the whole bird. It’s an open parking lot so first come first served. However, there’s plenty of spots.”
“During the 2yrs of covid pandemic, my boss asked me to get groceries for needed families, he recognized the struggles of families around us, Mr. Jim Godwin generously allocated funds each month to purchase groceries for ten families, most of whom were laid off or facing severe financial difficulties. His kindness did not go unnoticed—many elderly individuals, who were especially vulnerable during this time, also benefited from his compassionate efforts.
Through this initiative, we were able to distribute essential food items such as fruits, vegetables, dairy, and pantry staples. Each month, they would come to my garage and pickup the bags of essential foods purchased at Aldi's, the support provided by Mr. Jim not only relieved immediate hunger but fostered a sense of connection within the community. Recipients expressed deep gratitude, and it was heartwarming to see how these small acts of kindness provided hope and comfort in difficult circumstances. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to be a good Samaritan to others.”
