“A very efficient sort of store, less walking needed to get what you need. Prices are excellent, and I have always found the people to be very nice that work there. I have to watch certain food additives in my diet, and Aldi tends to have healthier choices (less chemicals added). I guess being a German company, they were naturally going to be efficient and they are. I find that their price on a lot of things I buy tend to be a buck or more cheaper than other stores. (Guacamole and tortilla chips, potato salad, fresh mushrooms, English Muffins, Bagels, bacon and sausage, and those stuffed salmon fillets all tend to be at least a dollar cheaper than other stores). they don't have as many choices for each type of food, but if you are buying basic items they tend to offer a very good option. Their milk and egg storage is a little difficult to contend with - not stocked right at the door so much, but you have to reach in and perhaps lift something to get at it, but not a big deal.
It took me a few trips there to figure out what I liked and where to find it. Now it saves a lot of time and needless walking. And I end up saving a decent amount with each visit. I don't much care for their cart system, since it does not cycle through the entire stack of carts. (should be FIFO, not LIFO for you computer geeks out there). So the ones that get used a lot have the tread worn off the tires, (but they still roll OK).
I carry an insulated bag in my trunk, so that holds the cold stuff as i load the food into my car.
They tend to operate with only 1 cashier, but that person is very fast. If they get backed up, they open another lane. No complaints, and they always greet you nicely. I think the parking lot arrangement could be a bit more efficient, but it is not too bad. They offer curbside pickup, but I have not tried it.
A great option for a normal trip to the grocery, since you save time and money on excellent quality items. If you want to buy in bulk or want to choose from 30 types of peanut butter, then perhaps one of the bigger stores is a better fit.”

“I love this store !!!! Not only do you find what you are looking for , if you don't find it let management know and they WILL get it for you . That is primo management . My only drawback is when I go to customer service to purchase a 10 dollar money order the best they can do is 10.01 and I cannot use a 10.01 money order . Work on that .”

I was in there on this past Sunday 5/26 and I left a bag with 3 items in it that I really needed...I couldn't reach the store by phone so I finally got a chance to go into the store today and the young lady working there checked the cameras for me and gave me my items back! “So first off, I’m big on HEB but this Kroger is a lot closer to my house so when I need something quick, this is my go-to. They have decent produce, sometimes have good sales but today, customer service took the cake. HUGE shout out to Ms. Hope!! I couldn’t decide on what BBQ sauce to pick for tonight’s rib dinner and she came to the rescue! Someone please give this lady a raise STAT!!! Thank you so much for your helpfulness, stellar customer service and genuine conversation. It truly made my day.”

There was a little bit of miscommunication between the staff about the color of the icing, but he was able to help me out and got it redone in less than 30mins. “Way more often than not, they have your prescriptions ready before you've even made it home from your appointment. Once your info is in the system, drive thru pick up in a sinch and super fast. I particularly appreciate wide array of immunizations offered and the scheduling option, although you don't need one. The techs are great with folks who struggle with fear of needles.”
“Since I've moved into this area, I decided to transfer my prescriptions. Everyone from the Technicians to Pharmacists Ms. Hattie Davis were very professional and courteous. I came in last week to pick up prescriptions I had called in and to also fill new prescriptions. The Technician nor the Pharmacist could not read the prescriptions. I told them to look at what the doctor had written before. They filled my prescriptions and I left. When I got home I realized the one for my lips was a cream but should have been an ointment. (I have dry lips). I called as soon I got home and took my prescriptions out of the bag and read cream. The Technician asked Ms. Davis if I could return it because it was the wrong one. I was told as long as it was not opened I could and the doctor corrected the prescription. I came in the next day and Ms David was not there. The Technician told Pharmacist Youan that the doctor had called in the correct prescription and I brought back the wrong one. Ms Youan immediately started yelling at me as if I were a toddler playing in the store, telling me they don't take prescriptions back especially if they are opened. (If she would concentrate on looking at the box, she could see neither end had been opened nor the tube penetrated). I didn't say a word. Then she said it could not be returned unless I had the receipt. I told her it was in the bag. She continued yelling and asked where is the receipt. I told her a little louder to open the bag. She is definitely NOT from Texas because we know how to speak to adults and children. She needs to go to anger management class and start all over. I'll give her an F- for professionalism and an A+ to the rest of the pharmacy staff. I have observed all of them with people on several occasions and they have been great!”

“Wow... shocked at so many low reviews but honestly, so many people have a small issue and automatically 1-star? Doesn't seem fair. Anyways, stopped here to grab some car polish. This was our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised to see how NEW this Walmart looked. (Love new! The Pearland Broadway Walmart is old and dirty). Store was clean, including the restrooms. Nothing was in disarray. It's always a bit confusing going into a new Walmart due to the layout being completely different than the one we're used to but we were able to easily find the car section. There were MANY car items that were deeply discounted. Unfortunately, our item wasn't. In fact, it was almost .50 more than I was expecting. Ah well. We also checked out the clearance aisle. Prices here were great! Some items had a good $15+ off! Next, we wandered over to the grocery side. Picked up a couple items that I needed to get. Everything we needed was in stock. I don't recall interacting with any employees other than the greeter who was friendly. We self checked out. I actually prefer self checkouts. I know another reviewer complained about having to "work for Walmart" by using the self checkouts and thus, gave a 1-star. (Sigh). Well, I like to make sure the prices ring up correctly and sometimes the cashiers do it so fast, prices are missed. I don't see the big deal. The Walmart Neighborhood market near us switched to ONLY self checkout. Anyways, we liked it here. We'll be back.”

“I'm going to say it, Walmart is not the first place I think of that I want to shop...it isn't the cleanest or have the nicest people working there, but their prices can not be beat. I have been a loyal HEB and Kroger shopper for years, however they keep raising prices and raising prices. Walmart is cheaper by quite a bit on things we buy every week, usually by a dollar or more. When you are buying $200-300 of groceries each week and those savings really add up. The Great Value store brand products have all been great, we especially like the sliced sandwich cheeses and the dairy products such as fruit yogurt, sour cream, and coffee creamer. I have tried to get my produce at Aldi because I heard it was the least expensive, however it never lasts and goes bad...I have never had that happen at Walmart and everything has always been fresh. This location has quite a bit of self checkouts and even has a self checkout area for people who have large baskets full of stuff, not just a few items like most stores. Fyi, the bathroom in the front of the store isn't the cleanest, but they have one in the back of the store near the home repair department and it is always clean.”
