“Amazing Service! All the ladies in here are very nice and welcoming, knowledgeable about their products and very engaging. You should definitely try the exfoliation scrubs that they have for sampling! My husband and I did buy the River Rat scrub after trying it as it was the best scrub I've ever used. They also have other miscellaneous things, we got some gifts for friends as well.”

“As an NB native, this is my go to favorite place! They have the cutest clothes, the most unique and high quality gifts and treasures, and an amazing selection of beautiful jewelry and fun coffee table books! And the local NB artwork will keep you staring for hours (and wanting you to start your own collection)! The best part is they’re always changing, rearranging and updating their inventory and store so every time you go back there’s new must-haves you’ll find! Whether you life here or you’re visiting you have to make a stop at The Local!”

“Finally had the chance to visit this store! All I can say is forget what you know about salt! This store has such an awesome variety of flavors. The best part is you can smell and taste each one. We purchased a few items. They have awesome gift sets especially for Mother's day coming up. I highly recommend this shop .”

“Phenomenal product! I always come back to buy more of these towels, for myself and for gifts. The photographs are each a work of art and are printed on high quality very absorbent cotton. Every time I travel overseas I buy some to bring as presents for my friends, they always love them. It is difficult to find a handmade in USA product so unique and that could be so easily packed!”

“I was looking for a Victor Crowley mask that was impossible to find at a reasonable price. Freaky Findz had it for a great price! Because they were so knowledgeable and awesome (thanks Dean) I ordered my TCM mask from them too. I ordered on Sunday and it was here that Friday. Both masks are from Trick or Treat Studios and are impeccable! I will absolutely order from them again!”

“I’ve stopped by the little shop in Gruene but didn’t know they had another store near downtown New Braunfels. The first time I tried a pickle in April 2025, I have loved these. I finally convinced my husband they are worthy of buying and I’m so excited to finally have a jar!! The store at this location has more unique stuff and still has the cute lime green flair. I will always be a fan of Fickle Pickles! This location is so great to also visit its next door neighbor (the German bakery).”

“Best pickles ever. We are in Cibolo and go to New Braunfels just for these pickles. Get the X jars. You will not be disappointed.... unless you hate pickles, if that's the case why are you there? Go eat your boring non pickle foods. 🤣”
