“U-Haul - San Antonio on E Rigsby Rd (US 87) gets my top rating for goods and services, specifically: propane. (I have not yet used this place for rental or storage). I have been shopping for 30 lb propane tanks and fills and found this shop to have the best product value. Tanks are currently $59, and propane is sold per gallon at the going rate, currently $3.50. (FYI: These 20 lb tanks hold 20lbs, not 17 or 15 like most tank rent/replace competition which usually charge $55 for first tank plus $20 fill charge, then $20 per filled replacement.) This U-haul 20 lb fill translates to about 4.5 gallons. You do the math... When I went I got a new tank and fill here yesterday, they only charged me $49 for the tank ($54 with tax) and when I got the fill (you buy and pay for the tank first, then get the fill outside as separate purchase), the manager said he'd charge only $2.88/gal since I had just bought the tank. Super, right!? Well, when he was running the payment on my card he said he "lied" - that it would be $2.75 instead!! Wow. So you do the math. Simply the best pricing for first tank and fill, and for future refills and great customer service. I don't expect this special rate for future fills, but I'll be getting any new tanks and all my fills there, and he's earned first shot at any future rental and storage needs!”

First went to the UHaul on Rigsby and the guy who came out of the garage was incredibly rude because I rang the bell for service, which it says you should do (there’s no feedback to tell you the bell is even working!). I waited a few minutes and tried again just to have this guy come out and chew me out, great customer service! I took my business here instead and it turned out great. If you need your RV propane or tanks filled bring it here instead. Go through the left side of the gate to the back where the scale is. Note they only accept credit cards and the like but no cash.”
