“Had a great and seamless experience here. Have done walk ins and appointments until I found my dress there which they were super helpful in suggesting new different styles and suggesting styling. My tailor, Farina, was super sweet and left the dress perfect and ready for pickup by the second dress fitting. Farina was so helpful in pointing out how to best put it the dress on for the day of since I have both a corset and an additional skirt that I had to learn how to put on and she thought my mother how to do it as well. Overall super great experience”

“BEST STORE EVER!! I recently was traveling with my children (4 and 7) and got stuck in Houston for 2 days without our bags. This store was walking distance from the hotel the airport put us up in. They had everything our family needed, a new pair of shoes, underpants, and a bathing suit. I was submitting my receipts for reimbursement from the airline and realized I had lost the receipt in the travel chaos. I gave the store a call and the quickly found my receipt and emailed it to me.”

From the moment I walked into the Westheimer Montrose location, Kristian Kingdom and Clay Brown absolutely nailed it. They didn’t just point me at racks of clothes, they asked how I like my shirts and jackets to sit through the chest and shoulders, how tapered I prefer the waist, and what I needed for work, events, and evenings out. The whole visit felt personal, dialed-in, and relaxed, with the kind of attention to detail you usually only get in true high-end shops.
State & Liberty is built for athletic physiques, and you feel that as soon as you put something on. The cuts have clean lines through the shoulders and chest, a modern tapered waist, and just enough stretch so the clothes move with you instead of fighting your frame. As someone who lifts and has a broader upper body, it’s rare to find shirts, pants, and suits that don’t balloon at the midsection or bind at the shoulders, here, that’s just the standard fit.
