“I went in for an online pickup order 8/18/2022 and I wasn't greeted at all, the lady (heavy set hispanic with glasses) that helped me barely said 2 words to me. Lisa walked up and was extremely friendly and welcoming, she wasn't even helping me but spoke to me more than the actual lady getting my order. Lisa is the only reason why I'm give 4 stars because I was going to give 1 star until she came up. Thank you Lisa for the brief but warm experience.”
“I spent the entire day looking for a simple pair of black shoes at First Colony Mall. After being unsuccessful I went back to Journeys and just sat in the chair. I was approached by a young man and he simply asked is there anything I needed help with. I explained my situation and told him I was tight budget. He understood the assignment and looked through their inventory to best meet my need. The location didn’t have what wanted in stock so they handed me a tablet of their online store and told me to take my time looking at all items on sale and whatever you pick we’ll cover the shipping. I was extremely relieved and I found a pair of shoes within my budget and it was ordered with no issues. The sales associate was patient and very well mannered and left me with some great words of wisdom. Thank you Journeys and a big thank to you “Say”. “I came here with my husband to get some boots on Dec 23rd. It was super busy - more than usual anyway. We have an Academy credit account, and at checkout, my husband realizes he doesn't have the card in his wallet. I expected the cashier would need to call for a manager, and we would be holding the lineup all over technicalities. Much to our surprise, she said, "That's okay. Do you have your ID?" OMG. He gives her the ID, and the system does the rest.It's been a while since an inconvenience turned out to be nothing at all. I guess it was good luck, or maybe it's just me, but no matter where I go, I notice a lack of problem solving skills and short tempers. So, keep in good spirits Academy and Merry Christmas!”
