“You will love Funky Junky! As soon as you enter the place, you feel like a treasure hunt has just started. There is so much to see! They have antiques, plus new and hand-crafted items from different vendors. For example, they have old wood furniture pieces, retro signs, old toys, books, a variety of clothing, jewelry, kitchenware, crafts, supplies, and much more. You could easily spend a couple of hours browsing all the little treasures they have around. Their customer service is excellent. The lady who helped us was super patient and friendly and made us feel welcome. The best thing about our visit (besides finding some cool items) was Whiskey the Cat. OMG she’s adorable and so friendly! We will visit again. I highly recommend y’all visit Funky Junky!”

“We were fortunate that his store was not busy, today when we stopped in at 12:30pm. JD was there and myself, wife and 2 friends talked w/ him for at least 20 minutes, due to the fact there was no other shoppers in the store.? We also purchased a sign that was in stock and I ordered a custom 'key' hook, which when done will be shipped to my home?”

“A well-curated selection of treasures, backed by fantastic customer service. Unlike some of the other antique and vintage stores in the area, the finds at Junque in the Trunk are thoughtfully arranged, and likely will give you a few new ideas. I always find something I love when I visit! On my last visit, Denise and Stephanie were amazing - helping us load two sets of shelves quickly and efficiently. It's a definite must on your next visit to Waco!!”

“Lauren and Emma went above and beyond to accommodate me and my wife for a throwing session this past weekend. It really speaks volumes to the community and to this establishment that they are willing to work around their schedules to introduce newbies like us to the art of pottery! My wife and I decided to visit Waco for the weekend and has always wanted to try her hand in pottery since I can remember. I looked online to see that there were no available times for a class/session when we were in town, but I decided to inquire anyway. Lauren messaged me back to let me know that she had reached out to one of the artists that was able to work with our schedule and this will be the origin story for my wife's enthusiasm for pottery!Emma was kind, patient, and very encouraging to us during our session and it shows that she has such an amazing talent for teaching and love for her art. There were other artists working on projects while we were there which made it feel so organic. This experience felt as though it was catered to us, but with so much character, yet very familiar. If you are ever in the area and want to try your hand in learning, I would highly recommend Black Oak Art. On our drive home, my wife decided to buy a throwing wheel because it was so much fun!Thank you Lauren and Emma for the wonderful experience!”

“When visiting downtown Waco, this store is a must-visit for souvenir or gift shopping. They offer a variety of local and national products, including Baylor University merchandise. I always make sure to stop by whenever I'm in Waco to purchase their merchandise. I also like that they have a gift service available for a small fee. I was able to get a gift wrapped for only $3 and it was so pretty decorated with ribbons and all.”

“We can’t speak highly enough of Kim and Kevin, the owners of Waco Budget Blinds. They inspired trust throughout the entire process. They helped us with design, from the color that would work best all the way to the selection of a smart home system. The installation was flawless, and their exemplary customer service has continued. We selected Lutron wireless shades, and they remain available to answer our questions. First class experience!”

“There's all sorts of cool stuff here! I enjoy buying myself some snacks and noodles. The udon noodles here are cheaper than even walmart, so I buy a few each time I visit. I gotta almost be physically peeled away from the dishes and cookware section before I spend my whole paycheck on cute dishes and coffee mugs.”

“I stopped by with my daughter-in-law last weekend and we were very pleasantly surprised. What a beautiful store, full of gorgeous glassware, china, gifts and jewelry. It’s an Aladdin’s cave! And the owners there were extremely friendly and welcoming. What a gem!”

“Lots of great ideas to collect here, even if you not in buying mode. If you ARE in buying mode, there's a great selection of unique, stylish, trendy and industrial re-purposed furniture and accent pieces as well as some cute ladies clothing and boutique items to be had. You may not find a lot of bargains at The Findery, but you will find lots of quality and great design. Parking is free and adjacent to the building. You'll be warmly greeted upon entry, and if you are lucky (and it's not a school day) it will be from an adorable 6 year old who has a lot to say if you ask her!”

“Sally and the rest of the staff are so kind and helpful. I live an hour away and it is always worth the drive to shop here. I placed an order over the phone recently & I wasn't able to get there before closing time and she told me to come on by and she'd let me in. Sadly not many places like Morrison's left.”

“I was looking on Yelp for a HomeGoods to locate a nice reasonably priced chair for my son's dorm however was sad that it didn't pop up here so I thought there was none in the town. But low and behold when I decided to try the Marshall's in the Central Texas Marketplace mall...the joy and excitement that came over me as I saw the HomeGoods!!! Good selection and pretty organized. Found him a nice chair! Will be back for more dorm furnishings!”

“If you like treasure hunting, you'll definitely want to visit The Junky Monkey! They have some amazing finds (at reasonable prices) and they go out of their way to help. There are SO MANY nooks and crannies, and so much to discover if you love delightfully imperfect or aged to perfection one-of-a-kind pieces. Found a perfect narrow bookshelf on my last visit (with TWO runners up!) Whether you're a Waco local, or in town to visit the Silos or Baylor, it's a great place to explore!”

He asked about our needs first and made recommendations in terms of what would work best for us. Highly recommend the Waco store and Justin.”

“Loved the “sip and shop” experience! Got a couple glasses of wine from The Boiler Room and wandered about the shop exploring the amazing and unique items there. Purchased a gift - something we’ve never seen anywhere else. Our bartender was incredibly helpful and friendly! Great stop!”

“A Waco must do but overhyped in my opinion. We have been a handful of times and it's fun to stroll through and sight see if you love HGTV. However, everything is incredibly overpriced and can be very crowded especially in the small kiosk stores. There are lots of cute photo spots. There is a huge turn area for kids to play as well as a small baseball field.”
