I just had to put my dog Duke down... after months at another prominent Vet in Wylie who strung me along for over 2 months with tests and medication well over $2K... It took Lake Lavon $300 to do a biopsy and let me know the truth. Duke is gone now, but some of it could have been prevented. I wish I knew about them sooner! Highly Recommended. All my other dogs will be going there now...

I can definitely say the reviews don't give this place the justice and praise it deserves. From the Homey atmosphere to the Warm customer service this place has all that you could be looking for. I got the country fried steak and it was absolutely amazing 🤤 and also the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich for later 😅. I am not ashamed to say that I started eating and didn't stop until it was all gone. Full bellied and big smiled I'm fully satisfied with this choice! 10/10 Need to come back here again! 10/10 Will be recommending this place from here on out to locals that don't already know about it!

3370 S State Hwy 78, WylieOur family has been eating at Jeff’s BBQ since Jeff was back at the old stand, and we have proudly and loyally followed him through every stage of his journey.
The food has always been outstanding. His brisket and ribs are some of our absolute favorites, the brisket is consistently excellent, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the sides.
But our family is also a HUGE fan of Jeff’s breakfast. The brisket gravy and biscuits has become a family tradition. Whenever Ariel is back in town with the grandkids, you can pretty much guarantee we’re making a trip to Jeff’s to get it. It’s one of those meals that has become connected to family being home.
What makes Jeff’s special to us goes beyond the barbecue. We personally know Jeff, and he is simply a great guy and a great part of our community. We’ve supported him from when he was first getting started, watched his business grow, and continued supporting him through the difficult times—including the recent fire that damaged his building.
That’s what supporting local business is supposed to look like. You don’t just show up when everything is going great. You support the people who have worked hard, treated your family right, served great food, and become part of the community.
For our family, Jeff’s BBQ is by far the best barbecue in the Lavon area, and we’re proud to say we’ve been customers and supporters from the early days and will continue to be.
Great BBQ. Great breakfast. Great family memories. And most importantly, a great local guy we’re proud to support.

In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue & Educational Center
3430 Skyview Dr, WylieOur heartfelt thanks to Dr Stephanie LaGrone and In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue! We just returned home from one of the most memorable experiences of our lives - an overnight stay that included two tours throughout this beautiful wildlife rescue during which we were introduced to each tiger, lion, liger, serval, lemur and more.
The first tour was during their evening feeding, and it was fascinating. Dr LaGrone and her stellar team of volunteers shared details about each animal’s history and personality. The morning tour was similar and as enjoyable since some of the ‘residents’ were more morning types and gave us a warm welcome.
We camped out under the stars and a campfire, ate s’mores, slept in tents and visited with the other guests, as well.
Dr.LaGrone also sat with us during our meals and shared fascinating details about the history of In-Sync, meal prep for their animals and more!
We can’t describe enough good things about the experience and enthusiastically recommend it for folks of all ages. They offer tours in October and May of each year, so highly suggest that you get on their mailing list for details.
Definitely a must experience!

949 Hensley Ln Bldg 100, WylieThis place is more than I expected: people are very friendly, polite, and professional, always open to help, to advise, and support both the animals and the people who go there for assistance.
This place is safe, with an anti&kill policy, where ferrel animals are treated with care, where they benefit of all check ups necessary, screened for lethal diseases, vaccinated, fixed, weighted, dewormed , estimated for their age, all for free.
Kudos for this Friday only program that the City of Wylie put in place to care about our friends in the wild.
Sincere thanks to the city and all personnel who dedicate to this nobel job.
