“I usually have high expectations for Mavericks, given their reputation for friendly staff and efficient service. However, my experiences at the Gunnison Maverick have fallen short. Unlike other locations, the staff here seem less than enthusiastic to assist or even offer a welcoming smile. It feels as though everyone's day started on the wrong foot.Moreover, this location seems plagued by frequent equipment failures, from non-operational fountain drink machines to malfunctioning coolers. While I understand that repairs can take time, the months-long wait for fixes is disappointing. Generally, a few weeks seem reasonable for such repairs, but extended delays suggest a lack of urgency in maintaining operational standards.Despite these issues, I'm giving it four stars because there are still aspects of the Maverick brand that I appreciate. But I do hope to see improvements in both staff demeanor and equipment maintenance in the future.”

“Stopped by here for some snacks. Really great selection of practically everything at pretty reasonable prices. The owner is super chill. Had purchased peanut m&ms only to find out my wife is not a fan. So he let me exchange them for hazelnut chocolate m&ms with no hassle and was just super courteous about the situation. Bathrooms are clean which is important for a gas station store. Very nice place to stop before or after the Bryce Canyon National Park trip”
