They seem to have a little bit of everything—hunting gear, fishing supplies, tools, work clothes, snacks, and plenty of things you didn't know you needed until you saw them. The store has that old-school, locally owned feel that's getting hard to find these days. Easy place to spend more time (and money) than you planned.”

“Brought my backflow in, dude took it apart and told me what was wrong with it. These guys are busy and there were customers coming and going the whole time. I just waited patiently for my turn and got hands on advice from a subject matter expert. This is a grade A business. They're doing lots of things right. They even have a YouTube channel.”

“This Ace location had the product I had been looking for for over a week! No exaggeration. Lowe’s and Home Depot champion a specific type of antifungal product called Concrobium, yet none of their locations actually carry it. So I finally called this Ace location to ask if they could stock check for me and they did! And they had it in store! So I rushed down to the store and received a greeting and excellent service. I had multiple people ask me if I needed help finding anything and there were multiple employees moving up and down the aisles asking customers if they needed help.
I really don’t receive that type of customer service anymore and I don’t witness it anywhere anymore. It seems like people are so bothered to even do their job, let alone offer assistance genuinely to customers. So I wanted to write a review about how good their customer service is and how welcomed I actually felt at this location! And on top of that, the antifungal spray that I was desperate to find, worked exceedingly well! Edit: I forgot to mention this happened on August 7th at 4PM! Thanks again!!”

“I had a great experience with Gayla and Noah at Ace Hardware! I called looking for a specific light bulb that I was having trouble finding, and even though they didn’t have it in stock, they went above and beyond to help me. They took the time to look into it and even offered to help me order the bulb I needed. Both Gayla and Noah were incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful over the phone. “Wow! What great service! I’ve been in a few times looking at different things lately. All the ladies at the front desk have been super friendly and very helpful. My last visit was for the door handle for my door connecting my home and garage. The hardware wouldn’t open the door. I went in and purchased a new door handle . I needed help to get in installed. The sales woman went to the back asked Phil (manager ) if they had anyone that could do that for me . Phil was so kind to stop and install the handle for me . We have shopped at Tanner glass through the years. Always such great service!

“It's definitely unique in the amount of different types of things, and hardware they sell. Buyer beware though, a $47 clamp here, is just under $5 at Harbor Freight! Most pricing seemed a little high, and the wire I was looking for was more expensive, so I didn't get it here. I'll go in again, but still check pricing before I buy! Friendly, helpful staff too!”

I own a plumbing company and was waiting in line at Mountainland when I saw something that deserves to be called out. A counter employee named Ronny was helping an older couple — probably late 70s. From what I could tell, they normally work with a specific salesman who wasn’t in that day, so Ronny stepped in to take care of them.
That situation isn’t unusual in this industry. What was unusual was how she handled it.
She was patient, respectful, and genuinely attentive. No rushing them, no talking down to them. I overheard her tell them she’d personally reach out to their salesman to make sure they were getting the best pricing and that she’d follow up with them herself. That kind of ownership matters.
After I checked out and was heading to my truck, I saw her again — outside, smiling and joking with the same couple while hand-loading a large amount of pipe into their trailer. No complaining, no disappearing once the sale was done. Just doing the work and treating customers right.
As a business owner, this is exactly the type of employee you want representing your company. Management should know Ronny is making Mountainland look very good, and it didn’t go unnoticed.”
