His trainer, Saul, was amazing and taught us how to communicate with our pup in a fair and effective manner.When we first brought Toulouse to OTSFD, he had some impulsive tendencies and a strong desire to say hi and play with every dog he encountered. His reactive behavior made it challenging to enjoy walks or take him to public places. Saul was very knowledgeable and tailored a combination of the four quadrants of operant conditioning to modify Toulouse’s behavior. The transformation we have witnessed is truly remarkable. I can now confidently take Toulouse everywhere, knowing that he will be a well-behaved and obedient companion.

It smelt good, all the dogs getting dropped off looked comfortable instead of scared, and most of all it was very clean! Located in the cutest community, the Pawsh Dog wash lived up to all the other phenomenal reviews. I have a 13 year old Lhasa apso and they made her look better then I ever imagined. It is a great set up, because when I dropped her off for grooming I brought my two other dogs to use their self serve baths. They provide great quality soap, conditioner, brushes and my helped get me set up right away. The staff was all so friendly, and the owner was so kind and hands on with everything. I’m a very happy dog mom with 3 very clean pups!

Prices for a nail tim are competitive with other groomers, and, considering the expertise and kind handling of our pets, The Groomery, Ltd. Is an OUTSTANDING value!
The location is easy to get to, the first right off RT 1 N (S. Patrick St.) from I-495) onto Franklin St., just cross Washington and on the left. Plenty of drop-off and pickup parking right in front of the building.
Bella and Sturgis have asked to take them back to The Groomery the next time they need some sprucing up! We will honor that request.

430 Hume Ave, AlexandriaI brought my dog Marley here from around 2018-2020. I relocated and the location wasn’t as convenient, but he needed a cut BAD and I was so happy they were able to squeeze me in!
They consistently do amazing work here! Isaac is a classic favorite and always requested.
I somehow got bumped from his schedule without being notified prior to my arrival and didn’t love that, but the person assigned as a backup did a great job! (I forgot her name ? im so sorry, but I hope she gets some kind of credit still).
I received notification of him being ready 30 minutes ahead of time, and I appreciate that more than getting notified when he is done.
Parking can be a bit of a pain, but I schedule groomings outside of peak traffic windows so it’s not too bad.
10/10 recommend this place.

I prefer a cat clinic because they specialize in treating felines and I don’t have to worry about walking into a stressful environment with large dogs barking and echoing throughout the waiting area.
I take my kitty for monthly shots for his arthritis and the staff is always caring, friendly, and attentive. They’re also very reasonably priced and I don’t have anxiety that they’ll try to upsell me on unneeded services.
Sometimes, I have to search a bit for a parking spot —but that’s the trade off being located near so many other popular businesses. I wish that they had a few reserved spots, close to their door, but not every property manager will allow for that.

This vet office is organized, responsive to customer care, and time-efficient. I would recommend this office to anyone seeking a caring and careful vet. I’ve been bringing my dogs to VCA Old Town for around 5 years, and I can’t say enough good things about the team here. From the front desk to the techs to the vets, everyone is incredibly kind and professional.
Edgar and Cheyenne (most recent interaction), along with Dr. Lacoste’s tech (I think her name is nicole), are phenomenal—gentle, calm, and attentive every single visit. We’ve seen both Dr. Madera and Dr. Lacoste, and they’ve both gone above and beyond in providing excellent care.
Everyone at the front desk staff is equally amazing. They keep things running smoothly and make you feel at ease from the moment you walk in. Becca and Avery in particular are always welcoming, warm and efficient, answering any questions I have no matter how silly.
One of my dogs has had a particularly tough year with infections and some more serious issues, and the team has supported us every step of the way. When she was attacked by another dog last year, VCA Old Town went out of their way to give us a private space to wait, away from the crowds/dogs, and that meant a lot to us.
My other dog is always relaxed when we come in—which says a lot—and I never feel anxious either. What I love most is how everyone treats the dogs with respect. They’re never overly excitable or loud; they maintain a calm, professional presence that really helps dogs feel safe.
I’m so grateful for this team that truly goes above and beyond. I trust them completely with my dogs’ care.

My pup Gigi went through all the puppy Happy Hours when she was 4 months old AND completed puppy kindergarten, puppy middle school and puppy high school. April has the highest integrity, caring and real world experience. We even completed a graduation ceremony for each program and I couldn't be happier!! Gigi is complimented everywhere we go on how well behaved she is while her personality still really shines through. April is a true professional and works with each dog's personality unique to them. She uses only positive reinforcement and my Gigi adores her as do I. April purposefully keeps the classes small and everyone gets attention and caring, dogs and humans alike. She is very patient and kind. We feel very blessed to have found her when I did to help Gigi, who is a Beagle husky- very vocal and very playful. I know Gigi misses April very much and hope to surprise April one of these days with all Gigi has retained and learned since. Being given foundational support and psychology of dogs, helps in building further positive reinforcements independently of the classes. The management/owners have always been super responsive and caring and the walkers are very good. Any time I have had any issues (which have been few and far between), I have received a prompt response and resolution. I don't need walks on a regular basis, only as needed for travel or extended activities. Yet, even as an intermittent user, I have received excellent customer service and my dogs have always been happy and treated well. Highly recommend!

They were understanding of her nervousness, especially separation anxiety. When I called to check in on her, they responded with patience. They were supportive and honest on how she was doing.
It’s clear that she was well taken care of and treated with care during her stay!

This place is particularly fun for moms of little ones as they have a toy kitchen (in very good clean condition) and lots kids books.
Very quiet and cosy inside. It does get a lot of traffic which tells me they are good!
Although it’s a bit far from our house I don’t mind the drive because they have kids corner and friendly service!

This has become our favorite date night spot. Delicious food options and creative cocktails along with exceptional service (Brett) made our evening one to remember. I love a well made Old Fashioned and I wasn't disappointed. The secret ingredient of the quarter branch apple brandy took it to next level. We are looking forward to our next date night already!

109 S Alfred St, AlexandriaHad such a fun experience at mount purrnon! The staff was very kind and knowledgeable about all the sweet kitties and guided us through the experience well! The cats are well cared for and the cafe offers yummy grilled cheese options in addition to beverage options! I hope to return soon to enjoy this experience again
