Pet Grooming

All About Paws DMV LLC
7961 Yancey Drive, Falls ChurchCarmen is amazing. When we adopted our beagle she had terrible anxiety, and was afraid of people, nail clippers, blow dryers, running water, and even towels. Carmen was patient and kind, and Emily loves going to her for grooming. This is also the only place we have ever boarded our dog, because we know that she is happy there and cared for like a member of the family. Carmen sends photos of Emily playing with the other dogs, sleeping on the couch, and having a ball. Although we use a crate to give her extra security when she travels with us and stays in unfamiliar places, we no longer send the crate to Carmen’s, as she does not use it. She is as comfortable there as in her second home.

Dude’s Dog House & Spa
7257 US-29, Falls ChurchWe've used Dude's for nearly 5 years, mostly for doggie daycare but for short-term boarding and occasional grooming as well. The staff are caring, responsive, and just wonderful. Our dog Belle practically leaps through the front door, tail wagging, to go play with her crew. Highly recommend!

Pet Care

Fairfax Animal Hospital
5818 Seminary Rd D, Falls ChurchI cannot say enough good things about this vet clinic. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. They took the time to explain everything in such clear detail that I genuinely left with no unanswered questions, which made the whole experience so reassuring.
My cat, Iris, is usually cautious, but she was completely comfortable here and immediately loved the doctor, the technician, and everyone she interacted with. They truly doted on her and treated her like their own — even sending us home with a thoughtful goodie bag, which absolutely made my day.
You can tell this team genuinely cares about both pets and their owners. I’m so grateful for the compassion, professionalism, and warmth they showed us. Highly, highly recommend ??

Everyone there cares so much about animals and always made time to get us in for a last second appointment if needed. Pricing was great and they were great for his surgery when he was neutered. Would recommended this place to anyone!

Pet Sitting & Training

Unleashed Abilities: Coaching People, Training Dogs
3724 Woodland Cir, Falls ChurchWe started working with Keri for our 5.5-year-old golden retriever, and it has made such a huge difference for our family - I highly recommend her for anyone in search of an excellent dog trainer in Northern VA.
Our golden has always had a big exuberant personality, but once we had kids, he went from getting all of our attention to sharing it - which understandably wasn’t easy on him! We were trying to manage constant barking for attention, counter surfing, and stealing food out of our kids' hands. He got so worked up and reactive that it was hard to take him anywhere, and since he's such a big part of our family, we knew we needed help.
We started off with an in-home consultation with Keri. She met our dog so she could get a real feel for him, and we talked through what we wanted to work on and where our problem areas were. She listened well and gave a lot of useful feedback, then put together a training plan based on what she saw. We ended up going with her Day Camp package (16 sessions total - a mix of one-on-one sessions with her and our dog, plus owner sessions with us). It was worth every penny!
Keri was incredibly responsive and flexible with scheduling, working around school pickups, naps, and our general chaos. She came to our house for every session and picked our dog up herself, then walked me through what they'd worked on afterward so I knew how to reinforce it at home. I could also text her photos or questions any time in between, and she always got back to me quickly with practical advice. I'd initially looked into Board and Train options, but I loved the pace of Keri’s Day Camp instead, since it meant we were reinforcing good habits in a real-life setting at home between sessions rather than sending him away.
Keri also paid close attention to what we actually wanted out of the sessions. She'd check in and ask what we wanted to focus on (whether that was recall, walking next to a stroller, sitting calmly at a cafe, or greeting people at the door) and adjust accordingly. Along the way she introduced us to different tools and gear, let us try out leashes and collars before we bought anything, and sent along good recommendations when we asked.
You can tell Keri truly cares about the dogs she works with! We've seen an enormous change in our dog's behavior since we started. He's still the same goofy, silly boy, but now he actually listens(!), and we feel a lot more confident bringing him places. Keri gave us the tools to help him make better choices, and it's made a real difference for our whole family. I highly recommend working with her!

At Home Cat Care
3709 S George Mason Dr Apt 911E, Falls ChurchWhen we moved to the NoVa area nearly four years ago, one of our biggest stressors was finding someone we could trust to care for our cats while we were out of town. A co-worker recommended Ann, and I’m so glad they did! Ann is a true professional. She came by for an initial visit (free of charge!) to meet our two cats and get familiar with our home. She always spent plenty of time with our boys and sent us detailed updates after each visit. She’s also incredibly organized and even stepped in on short notice when a family emergency took my husband and me on a last minute trip. Although we’ve since moved out of state, we still talk about what an amazing cat sitter Ann was and how lucky we were to find her! If you're looking for a cat sitter, Ann is the absolute best!

Nova Pack Dog Training LLC
7021 Ted Dr, Falls ChurchWe couldn't be happier with our experience working with Stephen at Nova Pack Dog Training! Our 16 month old Labrador, Stanley, has made incredible progress. We signed up for program combining twice a week day training with Stephen and 1-hour sessions at our home, and the transformation we've seen in one month has been amazing.
Beyond just working with Stanley, what made the biggest difference was how Stephen trained my husband and me. He equipped us with all the practical tools, skills, and confidence needed to keep up the momentum and maintain consistent training at home. Stanley is so much more focused and well-mannered, and we feel empowered as owners.
If you're looking for a knowledgeable, effective, and supportive trainer for your dog, I cannot recommend Stephen and Nova Pack Dog Training enough!

Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation
6801 Wilson Blvd, Falls ChurchOver the past 25 years we have adopted 4 dogs from Lost Dog and Cat Rescue. The volunteers and foster families are amazing! They take a lot of time to care for the dogs and get to know their personalities and behaviors. This makes it so much more likely that you can adopt with confidence that both your family and the dog are a good fit for each other. Each of our dogs has been healthy as well, with all medical concerns fully disclosed during the adoption process. They also make it very easy to adopt too. With Lost Dog and Cat, you don't go through a long process of not knowing if you will be able to adopt the dog you want. Highly recommend this wonderful foundation!
