“I have to admit I live really close to AK Auto, but never took my car here (despite recommendations from 2 friends) because I always thought I could trust the dealership. Boy was I wrong!After my car started revving without accelerating at about 2000 RPMs, I knew there was something wrong and drove the car over the dealership. They told me I needed a remanufactured transmission, which they would be happy to put in for $8200. This didn't sound right to me since my car had only 75,000 miles on it and I always did all recommended maintenance on my car when I was supposed to, so I decided to get a second opinion.I had my car towed to AK Auto and asked Mr. Kim to take a look at it. He added transmission fluid to the car (at his own expense) to see if it would make a difference and it started running more smoothly so he knew that the problem was not the transmission was not the problem. He recommended that I get a transmission flush. I was hesitant since it was so different from the advice that the dealership gave me (I'd just gotten a transmission exchange at the dealership 4,000 miles ago, plus they said the transmission flush would make the problem worse). But I reluctantly agreed. The transmission flush made all the difference, and now the car runs like butter! From now on, I'll be taking my car to AK Auto!”

After a dealership tried to take advantage of my dilemma and charge me ridiculous prices for the repair to get me back on the road I located this shop. Ab was very accommodating and told me he would absolutely repair my vehicle as soon as possible. It was Saturday evening right as they were about to close until Monday (a holiday) He provided me a towing company phone number to get my car to his shop from the dealership. I rented a car to get to the funeral and Ab took care of my car as soon as could on Monday. He kept me informed and repaired my car that day! The workmanship was professional and expedient! The price was more that fair! I am forever indebted to Ab and his crew! Professional and super accommodating shop! Special shoutout to Gabriel for being very patient and kind throughout the whole process. My apartment needs a parking sticker for the garage so he was nice enough to even transfer that over to the rental temporarily. The technician explained my rotors were the wrong size (too small/another story for another day) and my brakes were functioning improperly.Took it to the VW dealership for a double check, their "brake check" indicated nothing was wrong.After this clear report, I asked them to verify what DRSC told me, the dealership went back and verified my rotors were too small! Impressed these little shop picked up my and the dealership's mistake.”
