Amy and her whole staff are so lovely and friendly, highly communicative, and fantastic with the dogs. I always worry about trusting my dog to a new facility when I move because you never really know how they’ll treat your baby. Immediately on speaking with them the first time and having a tour of the facility and their policies, it was super clear all of their policies prioritize the animals first and foremost above all else, which really told me everything I needed to know. My dog also has some medical issues with a very strict diet and has never ever been a problem, and I trust every single staff member at this facility to care for her so well. She comes back from daycare absolutely exhausted, and as a high energy girl, that didn’t happen with a lot of places I’ve used before. These dogs get so much playtime, inside and out. I love when they instituted new activities like scent garden; I’ve never seen Scout walk slower than after a day of daycare with scent garden, she’s SO tired and happy.
The prices are SO reasonable and truthfully I would pay so much more for the attention and care I know she gets at CC. I’m so sad we are moving away because this place is such a gem that cares for my baby so well. We love CC so much!!

She was generous in the time she donated, and the transformation in Salt has been incredible to see. Salt came to Amy as a semi-feral dog who, in her 8 months of life, would freak out if anyone tried to touch her. In just 4 weeks, Amy not only showed her that touch is safe, but she now actively seeks out affection from her foster. Among other things, Amy patiently worked with her to build the confidence needed to accept both a collar and leash pressure. The amount of trust Amy was able to build with this dog in such a short period of time speaks volumes about her dedication and skill. We are very grateful for everything she did for this dog and her constant engagement during and after training!

17655 Winery Road, BarboursvilleMy wife and I enjoyed a wine tasting on the outside deck of the Library 1821. Wines are like snowflakes - no two are alike. We were spoiled by the rich and bold 1791 at Saude Creek Vineyards in Lanexa VA on Sunday. As such, the Octagon 2021 comparatively appeared and tasted more closely to a medium-body red than full-body red…and Octagon didn’t produce ‘legs’ on the glass as 1791 did. Barboursville’s sauv blanc was grapefruit-forward - not my personal favorite, but I know many who love that (it is similar to Kim Crawford). The Combination Platter of cheese and meats was exceptional - both in taste and presentation! Service was exemplary. An overall great day with beautiful weather!
