Pet Care

Keswick Equine Clinic
201 Taylor Ave, GordonsvilleI trust the care of my horses to Dr Kramer and the team at Keswick. They are organized, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I really appreciate how kind they are to my rescue horse, who is shy of people. I also appreciate that they know and like Morgans (because Morgans are the BEST). I know I’m in good hands with Dr Kramer and the whole team.

Gordonsville Ice House
212 N Main St, GordonsvilleFirst timers here and we did a take out order. We were about 20 minutes away and our food was still very tasty and hot when we got back to the resort. Had fried chicken & it was juicy and tender. Our sides were Mac & cheese and smashed potatoes. Asked for a side of chicken gravy for the potatoes and it was delicious. We were dipping everything in the gravy!!!! The apple butter they gave us tasted like the kind families used to make decades ago. We are in the area a few more days and are planning to eat there again.

Barbeque Exchange
102 Martinsburg Ave, GordonsvilleMy husband and I stopped by The BBQ Exchange last week while he was working in the area, and we were excited to give it a try. Since he travels for work, we love exploring local restaurants whenever we can, and being from North Carolina—the barbecue capital of the world—we can be a little picky when it comes to good BBQ. Thankfully, BBQ Exchange absolutely lived up to the hype.
I ordered the pulled pork BBQ with collard greens and mac & cheese. The barbecue was tender, flavorful, and had that perfect smoky taste you hope for when ordering traditional barbecue. The collard greens were some of the best I’ve had in a restaurant—seasoned well, cooked perfectly, and full of flavor without being overpowering. The mac & cheese was rich, creamy, and made the perfect side to complement the meal.
My husband ordered the sliced brisket and ribs with coleslaw and mac & cheese. The brisket was juicy and tender, and the ribs had great flavor with just the right amount of smoke. He thoroughly enjoyed every bite, which is saying something because he’s just as particular about barbecue as I am.
The portion sizes were generous, giving plenty of food for the price. We felt the value was excellent, especially considering the quality of the meats and sides. The restaurant itself was clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, creating a comfortable atmosphere from the moment we walked in.
As a sweet surprise, my husband grabbed me a cookie on the way out. It was soft, fresh, and absolutely delicious—the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal.
Overall, BBQ Exchange exceeded our expectations in every way. Finding barbecue that impresses North Carolinians isn’t always easy, but this place nailed it. Great food, fair prices, generous portions, friendly atmosphere, and spotless dining areas make this a place we’ll happily visit again whenever we’re passing through the area. If you’re looking for authentic barbecue done right, BBQ Exchange is definitely worth the stop. ?❤️?
