“I wanted to write a quick, very positive review for the Extra Space Storage facility on Station House Road in Chesapeake. In particular Erin the manager who put in the extra effort to meet my particular storage needs. You couldn't ask for more.”
“Last month I was looking for a storage locker in the Suffolk area and this place had decent reviews. I reserved a storage locker online and got my confirmation text message with the locker number and access code.
However, one thing that was completely missing was the customer service from the staff on site. I drove there twice during normal working hours to sign some paperwork, but twice, they were never there when they were supposed to be. That told me one thing, can't depend on them for anything.
Fast forward to yesterday, I stopped by to drop off some more stuff at my locker. I met the District Manager Brian, training the new lady working at this location. Her name is Kyrstyn and even though she was still learning the ropes and how the system worked, she seemed sharp and had a good attitude.
One thing I would recommend for the staff is, have some extra cans of Raid on site. As with most similar storage sites, I see the occasional roach carcass scattered around. Have some Raid cans so the customer can spray down the perimeter of their unit.
Also, for the future customer, the disc locks that they require, I would suggest you DO NOT buy the extra thick ones that they sell at Home Depot and Lowes...They DO NOT fit the shackle on the door of the unit. This location sells disc locks on site as well.”
“The manager and employees (including a new trainee) are on top of their game. Everyone answered my questions before I asked them (I had a lot of questions too)! A clean and quiet place in a safe area, the building layout is well done. There is plenty of room for vehicles and numerous moving trucks at one time. A large load in the area inside the building makes it easy to get around. I will recommend this business to friends and family.”

They will inform you that the gates will be locked after 9 PM. But especially like I said staff is very helpful, especially Desiree.”

“Everything has been great, only had a small issue with my gate code on my first unit but that was fixed quickly. Rented a 2nd unit for overflow and everything has been good from renting online to at the office. Very clean and well kept up and feel safe there. They told me to dock in 15 and unloaded me right away. Paperwork and unloaded by 7:27am. Because I had no more time they let me stay for my 10 hour break. Excellent service.”

“We used Regency for a complicated move in August 2021. We needed packing and moves to two different locations - a storage unit and an apartment. They showed up on time all three days, took good care of all of our belongings and worked efficiently. We will be using them for the final move in a few weeks. They will gather belongings from two storage units and the apartment and move them all into a single family home. We really appreciated the flexibility and professionalism from Regency and would 100% recommend them.”

“The staff is friendly and the facility is secure.However, my deposit was not returned to me. The facility claims my unit was unswept. I am not in agreement with this, I made sure my unit was clean and swept prior to checkout. I should have taken a photo (lesson learned).My unit was small and the deposit was $25.00 so it’s not a huge concern.”
