“AJ, the Assistant Site Manager, is absolutely amazing! He made this entire process so smooth and easy, especially considering the amount of stress I’m currently under. His welcoming smile and pleasant personality immediately made me feel comfortable, and his knowledge of his position is outstanding. He is professional, patient, knowledgeable, and truly seems to care about the people he is assisting. He is absolutely the right person for this job, and I genuinely hope a promotion is coming his way soon because he deserves it! His customer service is wonderful, and I truly appreciate everything he did to make this experience so much easier for me.”

1975 Cunningham Drive, Hampton VA 23666
“I asked AJ to help me with my unit at the Cunningham store in Hampton Va as I needed to cut cost. He mentioned several options that would work but with added cost. Another option was to transfer to a different unit, same size with less costs, but I would need to transfer within 24 hrs. AJ then noticed the unit I was to transfer to was the same size but less than my current payment. He said instead of transferring why don’t he see if he could lower the payment on my current unit. And he did it!!!! Give AJ a promotion to manager PLEASE! He went above and beyond to bring satisfaction to my issue. Not once did he stop trying to find a solution. Customer centric is his specialty! All with a smile! AJ you saved me, a lot of hard work and eliminated additional costs for me at the same time and I thank you and Extra Space for assisting me. Kind Regards, Paulette C.”

“What was once a friendly, easy to deal with marina had become hidebound and impersonal where “technicality” overrides customer service. This, from a 20 year patron. Shameful”

“The unit was nice and clean w no water leaks. The property is always clean too and the ladies at the front desk are very helpful as well. But the constant price increases are too much. They definitely haven’t upgraded anything that I noticed to justify the constant increase”

“Love this place. It's peaceful. Never chaotic when I go. The lady in the office is so nice and sweet. The online pay is convenient and a person with memory issues I appreciate the reminder emails a lot. Best storage place I have used so far. My items are not damaged. No bugs. I do spray spider spray because of a fear but no issues. And it's affordable. They had the perfect size for what I needed.”

“So my initial review was for U-Haul over all as a company. I'm updating it to 4 stars for the location because they were actually really helpful and accommodating for our recent move. It rained a good bit which put us behind schedule. When I called to extend the truck rental they were really understanding and actually gave me 2 days for free because of the weather. I'll definitely use them if the need ever arises.”

“Had to load yesterday at PODS in Hampton, Va. I was met with the most amazing person, Derek, and can I tell you he went above and beyond for me to make sure that I was taken care of, when he didn’t have to do anything at all. He made sure to get me what I was supposed to pick up, got it there in record time, and was as courteous, and polite, not to mention just happy he could help! I definitely recommend this place for all your storage, and moving needs. Stop in and give Derek a chance to do for you what he did for me!!”

“Relocating and had booked a storage space separate from my spouse, who had rented the truck. Upon arrival was told I was eligible for a free month of storage. The exceptionally knowledgeable young lady was able to refund my original booking and set me up with the free space anyway. Many thanks for saving me a few bucks!”
