“This gas station has personality. Not only does it have the usual gas station items, it also has alot of homemade items. Candies, muffins, a deli inside. I didn't eat there but it smelt delicious. Hand dipped ice cream and items youd find at a gift shop. They even decorated with a moonshine still. What's not to like?”
“The two guys that work nights are great hard workers! Cool with customers always help and are always busy. But still find time to help!!!! This is why I'm there every night to get my snacks and

“This is a tiny store packed full of just about anything you can think of. Mostly Mexican but some other specialties. The aisles are very narrow so everything will fit. Friendly, but mostly Spanish speakers here so don't expect a lot of attention in English. Fresh foods and kept well stocked. A bit pricey but that's the price to pay to keep a small business in the city open and have these items available at all.”

“A true neighborhood market. Abe and Chris are both just wonderful people and Abe always has your back. The customers are locals and become family after awhile. The tables here are the best in the area and given many of them a try. Head on in for cold beer, all your basic home needs, great selection on vapes and 2 fun fish tables.”
“They owner and employers are great, but the customers are not, they are rude and don't follow the rules, the store has a mandatory sign that people must have mask on before entering and many of the people living in the complex up the hill don't even though the sign is very big and is in white board with red letters and in caps.”

“Nice clean country store. Friendly employee. They have a short order counter where you can get a variety of menu items. They have a 2 hotdog with fries and a fountain drink for about $8.00. It's pretty good. They also sell a variety of groceries too. Have gas and diesel. Definitely worth a stop.”

“I wouldn’t go to this store under the previous owner because he creeped me out. Now that it’s ran be new people, I decided to go back.Not gonna lie, I was pretty skeptical of the pizza, but I was pleasantly surprised! I had the paneer pizza and it was really good. The crust reminds me of pizza huts crust and I could tell the vegetables were fresh. The store is super clean and the people who operate it and the pizza side are super nice and friendly. Good prices for quality food. 10/10”

“In the middle of the night (around 1am) and in the middle of a 12 hour road trip from Tennessee to Pennsylvania, it's really easy to expect unkempt facilities and a person on duty who really doesn't want to be there. This place was a pleasant surprise on a long overnight trip this past Monday night March 5th....competitive gas prices, spotlessly clean restroom and a gentleman on duty who was very kind and courteous. I'm glad I stopped here and I will remember this place on my next road trip to TN.”

“Since coming under new management, Watkins Grocery has come a long way to meet the needs of the local customers. Their shelves are stocked and selection has grown and the people who work there are excellent people. Its great to interact with them and find them to be very helpful. Like some of the other gas stations in the area, they will let you fuel then come inside to pay rather than prepay. They have a laid back environment and a feel one can only get from a small town and locally-owned business. They were my go-to shop when we lived nearby and we miss them.”

“This is a local family owned store. They have a wide selection of take home items such as beverages, canned foods, paper goods, automotive products, frozen foods, ice cream, cleaning products, automotive items, snack foods, and a great selection of produce, and local made jams and preserves. They also offer Shell gasoline, Tobacco products, VA state Lotto, Beer, and a great selection of Wine. They have a Deli, and hand dipped Ice Cream, a Taco Bell and Pizza Hut side of the store. They offer their neighborhood a local place to pay utility bills, and purchase money orders. In addition to this services they have seasonal services such as on the back side of the property are Green houses open during Spring and Summer offering flowers, shrubs, and vegetable plants. In October they offer a pumpkin patch in the front yard, and in December they have Christmas trees in the front yard. They are open seven (7) days a week, normally 6:30am to 10:30pm. The restrooms are large and always kept clean and well stocked, you can tell the family knows the importance of clean restrooms for their customers. This is a wonderful family owned business. The family serves the neighborhood wonderfully and we are lucky to have them.”
