“I enjoy going into the branch because the staff is always very welcoming. Too request is too small. Because the ATM doesn't give $5 bills, I often go in to request withdrawals that need a $5. They are always courteous and friendly. I don't know the new staff members yet although the staff before Covid knew me quite well and it was like visiting friends. I'm sure as time goes by it will be the same.”

“I have had nothing but positive experiences from this Credit Union. I was a bit skeptical when they merged with Chesterfield Federal Credit Union, yet after the merger, I continued to receive the same service I had come to appreciate. When I was getting ready to open a business account, I had considered going elsewhere, but the folks at this branch have been so kind and helpful that I opened by business account there. While there was a period of time in which check deposits were delayed in their availability, once I got past that period of time, every deposit has been smooth. One of the ladies there even recommended a simple account change that helped me earn a sliver more interest than the account when I started it. I don't regret my decision at all. My little one likes them as well. Every time I visit, they always give her a lollypop without even having to ask. It may sound trivial, but it makes my daughter's day when she gets them. While most of my banking through VaCU is online now, when I visit a branch, this is the one I prefer.”

“This bank location and the staff are wonderful. This is the branch at I will give it 5 stars if they stay open till 6pm on Thursdays like the hours listed. We often don't get done working till 5pm. I dove there the day before, as it said they were open till 6pm, but they had closed at 5pm. It was 5:07 pm when I got there. Anyways, I went back the next day, and my partner and I signed in and waited to open new accounts. The wait was long (they apologized) because it was Memorial day weekend. No problem. The bank was clean spacious and good AC. Everyone seemed very helpful. I was lucky enough to get Lourain. What a wonderful amazing person. She made signing up both easy and fun. I have family in Virginia and went for my grad degree here, but had lived out of state. I was friends with the branch manager at my last wonderful credit union, so I was hoping to find a great one here. I was happy with this branch.”

Angie Collins, Senior VP and Gabriel White have been truthfully the best bankers we have ever had. With in-person meetings, and swift & ready email support, they have greatly helped our organization with our rapidly growing banking needs, as well as ancillary business support needs like insurance and investments. Matt Clark, Chesterfield President has directly provided us his time and interest in our work, and it is very clear to us, he has the community at-large as his personal interest and involvement. Brenda Fulgham, TowneBank employee serves as a volunteer with Art for the Journey, and is a part of the community-minded team at TowneBank.The physical bank buildings are gorgeous, and welcoming, and every staff member is professional, gracious, and clearly eager to provide the best possible level of customer service. We highly recommend TowneBank for corporate or personal banking because they are far and away the best bank in our region, not only because they are architecturally stunning, but mainly because of the wonderful people and amazing customer service!”

“Great customer service! We opened up a checking account here when we moved into the area and our banking rep, Sharon was A++ Being a member of a credit union is nice because you get more personal service as opposed to being a part of a big corporate bank and when they make errors (if they do) they are more accountable for it. The only issue I have about VACU is they aren't as up-to-date on technology services like for example, Navy Federal, which in all fairness, is a much larger worldwide credit union. Their website is rough and their mobile banking is not very efficient to use, IMHO. Like your deposit under $200 would hit right away with Navy Fed but with VACU, you won't see it until maybe 24 hours later after 9am. VACU is just local to Virginia and all we needed to qualify for membership is be a resident of Richmond. But in any event, I have to give a shout out to Sharon for helping me notarize a document using e-verify, which neither of us had done before, but she was cool and patient with the process and we got it done and this service is free as a member of their credit union.”
