“I’ve been going to this station for at least 20 years. Normally I’d be in and out for the inspection within 45 minutes.Though this time it was longer, as I watched I got upset. Why is the inspector lifting my car? I didn’t ask for an oil change. William (the manager) explained that the state police added items to the inspection-seatbelts, suspension, steering components, the inside brake pads.Next year I’ll make sure I plan to spend more time there…and I’m assuming with a more thorough/timely inspection-it’ll be more expensive.”

We ended up talking with him for nearly an hour, with him giving incredibly in depth and helpful advice about what to look for in used cars, reliable brands, and brands and systems to watch out for. “This was my first experience with Belle Haven Sunoco, although they had been recommended to me by several friends and neighbors. I took my 2007 vehicle in for a 140,000 mile checkup and required safety inspection. I had a few concerns that I expressed when I arrived, and we made a list of special issues for them to review, along with the normal mileage checkup.The service department kept me up to date by telephone, and the service representative informed me about three safety-related concerns that needed to be handled. In order to handle those concerns, they had to keep the vehicle overnight and estimated that it would be ready by COB the next day. I was pleasantly surprised when the technician called mid-day to say that the vehicle was ready for pickup.The work was completed to my satisfaction. The customer service was impeccable, and the vehicle is road worthy now for the next several months. I am grateful for the recommendations I received, and I would not hesitate to recommend Belle Haven Sunoco to others looking for honest, capable, and timely service.”

Because the rows are three vehicles deep, it can be challenging to see when the gas pump a few cars ahead are available. The service attendant flagged me to move ahead to a vacant gas pump. “This station provides excellent service and reasonable-cost repairs. My car broke down just a block (luckily) from the station. Several repairmen came down with equipment to charge the battery, to find the problem, etc. They discovered that it was leaking oil to the point that it was dry, and the car had shut itself down as a protective measure. They filled it up with oil, drove it back to the station, and repaired it all within 24 hours. They were completely transparent about the cost upfront (which was completely reasonable.) They didn't take advantage of my ignorance. Quite the opposite, they explained everything thoroughly, and were courteous, warm, and friendly.”

“My car broke down Thursday evening and I had it towed to this service station because of recommendations on my local community Facebook group. I got there after the shop was already closed, but was able to fill out the paperwork and leave the key with the store clerk. Wayne, the shop manager called first thing in the morning and was able to diagnose the problem (snapped right axle shaft) within an hour. Moreover, the car was fixed within the day and didn't cost nearly as much as I had been fearing. (For a 14 year-old car with over 120k miles, anything under $1000 is a steal to me). Hoping I won't need to, but I'll be taking my car back to Wayne at Sunoco from now on for all my car repairs. Finding a knowledgeable, and honest mechanic is like winning the lottery and I am so grateful.”

“stopped by this Shell for the fist time to see if I could walk-in and get an emissions test. It was late in the afternoon and I wasn't sure they would have time or patience for a walk-in. Immediately I was greeted with a smile and accommodation. They asked me questions and took care of the care. The technical that brought the car out also asked me questions about the car and safety inspection, etc. just to make sure I was covered. He welcomed me to come back for any additional service. But the real reason for the five star rating is Chit Chaat Cafe inside. A North Indian mother makes homemade Indian food for affordable prices and the food is soooooo good. The station also has a chai station and Indian drinks like Thums Up soda and mango lassi.”
