I appreciate everything about this practicing including kindness of the staff and ease of getting appointments scheduled. Our dogs see Dr. Shaw. He is very compassionate, knowledgeable, and kind. Putting one of our dogs down was one the hardest things that we’ve ever had to do. Dr. Shaw was so supportive during the entire process.

Shady Grove Animal Clinic
11399 Nuckols Rd, Glen AllenNot sure why it has taken me this long to write this review, since we luckily found Shady Grove Animal Clinic 12 years ago. Dr. Lucas is our main vet here, and he is very knowledgeable, patient and caring. Since we have 2 dogs with multiple medical issues, we have been cared for by every vet at the facility and they are all terrific. The entire staff is very friendly, professional and accommodating. But if you don’t believe me, ask our dog who never wants to leave this place and can’t wait to visit again!

We used to take him somewhere else and he would do anything to not go in the place. When he gets to Apple he wags his tail and is ready to see Kyle and Addison!! 3016 Mountain Rd, Glen AllenRun, don't walk to Con Salsa! Seriously great food. Each order made fresh. The bowls are phenomenal and the arepas and empanadas are the best we've ever had. And the sauces...OMG the sauces. The garlic and the red sauce are honestly some of the best condiments I've tasted. Thankfully, they sell the sauces too! I do wish there was indoor seating as it is getting colder, but they were doing a brisk takeout business when we were there. Do yourself a favor and try Con Salsa. Everything we have tried is amazing.

4024 Cox Rd B, Glen AllenThe place is much larger than it looks with a long aisle of tables. The decor could be upgraded and still keep the diner feel. The walls are all large ads for businesses. Doesn't really look good.
Ordered the Reuben and onion rings to share. Reuben's are typically very large. This was a small Reuben and for sure could have eaten the entire thing.
Onion rings were a bit soggy and table didn't like their fries either.
The Reuben, though small, was very good.
Service was quick and waitress was nice.
The place is quite expensive for wha you get. We got 3 sandwiches, 2 with fries and 1 with onion rings, 2 waters and a sprite. It was $52. I think that is a bit high especially looking at size of sandwich but the were delicious.

James River Cellars Winery
11008 Washington Hwy, Glen AllenWe stayed at James River Cellars as a Harvest Host Guest and had a great visit. The winery has multiple seating areas both indoor and on their patio, plus a nice bar area. One of the highlights of our visit were the employees! They were so friendly and welcoming to us throughout our time there. We started off with a couple flights of their wine to sample what we liked. The wines range from sweeter whites to a couple drier reds. Following a tasting of a few other selections at the bar we decided on one bottle (Rad Red) to share at an indoor table and also grabbed a bottle to enjoy at our camper. We brought our own snacks to enjoy with our wine. It was a relaxing and enjoyable visit.

We loved the gluten reduced beer, and the pizza was excellent. We’ll be back for sure!

However, as part of service, when I called in the order, it was very cheerfully taken, and they called me when it was ready. I like Sicilian pizza very much, but it's usually rather dry. This was anything but. The cheese is great, but the sauce is fantastic. I'd say it's the BEST Sicilian pizza I've ever had. I'm from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania originally, home of pan-fried Sicilian (which is a different thing altogether). But for lovers of very traditional Sicilian, I'd highly recommend this!

4101 Dominion Blvd, Glen AllenGrabbed some takeout from here a few weeks back. Parking was easy, and the interior was quaint and clean. We got the Nashville Chicken Cheesesteak and the Classic Philly Cheesesteak. Plus the Mango Habanero Wings and Teriyaki Wings (the Teriyaki sauce was a bit salty, but still good!). The Mozzarella Sticks were pretty good, and the Chocolate Milkshake was a great sweet topoff! Eager to try more items on the menu.
