“You guys are amazing#1. I love the bible tracts which I use to distribute the encouraging gospel in this grievous time. Thank you Gospel Book Store! And God bless you.”

“I love unexpectedly stumbling upon a cute bookstore, and Fountain Bookstore has been one of the cutest ones I've come across yet. It's such a cozy space with so, so much product. The staff's friendly and helpful without making you feel pressured to make a purchase. They're really up to date with their stock, and I'm grateful that they were upfront with some of the book sleeves being messed up from a rough transport (frankly, they've got high expectations because the sleeves were barely imperfect). It's definitely a must-visit for whenever I'm back in town, especially given its picturesque location!”

“Frantically trying to get gifts together for my husband who's birthday and father's day fall on the same day this year, I ended up at this gem. As soon as I entered, Kevin Smith (unfortunately not THE Kevin Smith, though arguably just as awesome) immediately helped me out with my bagillion questions. He helped me search for specific items as well as recommend things based on what we were already looking for. Unlike other comic stores I've been to, this one was very well put together and organized, which definitely helped add to the stress free environment. Third Eye Comics has so many amazing things you can use to your advantage shopping here- shop online ship to store, and online auction group, as well as a pullbox free subscription for you to reserve weekly comic releases. I most definitely will be back soon and you should stop in too. Kevin Smith will definitely help you out!”

“Fun shopping experience for books, beautiful beads and jewelry, local artists' wares. The owner doesn't mind helping you find just what you're looking for.”

“I have been buying books from this shop for twenty years. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The stock cannot be beaten in Americana, Literature, and History and this is an excellent place to find an uncommon book for a gift. The owner and his wife are exceptional people, who hosted me by appointment for a few hours. They offered to have me stay as long as I wanted until closing. They are now appointment only, due to the pandemic and their new location, as many similar booksellers have become. This should not be a deterrent! It is certainly worth arranging a trip!”

“A nice alternative to Barnes and Noble. When I first moved up here (pre covid) they seemed kinda expensive, but for what I buy their prices haven't gone up since, so now compared to the rest of the world they are affordable. Staff have been nice every time I've gone in. Their location changed, which I'm sure is confusing some folks because the old building still has the name up, so I've attached a picture of the front of the new building.”

“Looking for some esoteric fun...? The Aquarian Bookshop is hands down one of my FAVORITE places in rva. You can find crystals, tarot, plethora incense (all the high quality ones) sage and other cleansing materials and yes, books. Mainly related to the afore mentioned. A wonderful thing is that they have events! I have been to multiple including a healing sound bath and if this interests you-- check it out! The atmosphere is (9/10) amzzzzzzinng and zen. I say 9/10 bc occasionally you'll get sketchy vibe ppl just coming in to poke fun or be silly and that's not wonderful but honestly in 14+ years that's only happened twice. It is my happy place. The staff are amazing always looking to help with questions and very Knowledgeable without being condescending. Anything and everything I have purchased over the years from here is high quality and I have no complaints what so ever. Stop in but please be respectful to those of us who find peace and happiness in this place. Highly recommended”

“Small and cozy with a wide variety of new and used books. Their horror section curation is 10/10. And their store logo includes a precious puppo - what more could you want?”

“It has been modernized and it definitely fulfills its role as an alternate pathway to improve your education at a lower cost, compared to the neighboring VCU and VUU.”

“Pretty good campus bookstore, I like hanging out in their cafe more than the library because it's usually more empty. However I'm usually not there long because of the time it closes. Very good book selection even though it's only about a 3rd of the store or less ? it's mostly clothes”

“Mr. Clark Albright, you made no purchase, harassed staff and customers, and interrupted private business feeling self-entitled. I hope charges are brought against you by BookHolders for your aggressive behavior for trespassing and harassment. Shop online so no one ever has to deal with you personally again.”
