“I shopped at shoppers for a while but stopped going mostly because of there prices...there way higher than Food lion...so I switched.... But...they have awesome donuts and the deli area is very well stocked with excellent visual appeal...oh...the fried chicken is very good also...just sayin....”
“Great location and walking distance to new DR Horton townhomes on Prescottt and Cherry. Surprisingly, the produce is well stocked and good quality but limited in selection compared to bigger Food Lion and other stores like Giant or Shoppers. I won't compared to Whole Foods or Wegmans because it will be comparing apples and oranges, no pun intended. Good self-serve checkout (4) four of them with usually one or two cashier attending.”
“I cook a large variety of meals and can find almost all of my ingredients here (with the exception of a few Indian spices). They are well stocked. The workers are polite and helpful. It's clean and well lit.”
“My family and I come here a lot and they have the freshest groceries, EXCELLENT Customer Service and all your desi needs in a one stop shop. This establishment really makes you feel at home. The uncle with the glasses is so nice and so kind hearted, the butcher is so patient and does a clean job with the meat. Great place!”
“The store is so much nicer, cleaner and better stocked then the one by my house. It's 3 miles farther but it's worth it. The staff are so much friendlier and nice. The one by my house won't talk to you and don't want to help or interact in anyway. Plus they are ALWAYS out of 50% of what I need every time I go in there. So I will be more than happy to drive a little farther ?”
“Great price, I get the groceries primarily from Lidl on a weekly basis. Check out can be frustrating as they usually have only 1 register opened and 4 self check outs. The self outs almost always require associate assistance. The only associate you get an assistance from is the one who is working at that only 1 opened register. So it's either you wait in 1 opens line or you wait for an associate at self out register.”
“Was able to make a quick stop here to get flowers before going to visit my mother's grave at Quantico cemetery. Also found the last minute Christmas gift card for a family member. Lots of staff on Christmas Eve.”
“The team provided Excellent service, provided answers to questions about products. They went the extra mile to retrieve out of season items that I needed. Friendly and customer focused. I've been to the store on three or four occasions and had the same warm and friendly experience. Thank you House2Home!”
“Affordable gas station. Stay busy. I'm always getting my gas from there. But they need to fix their pot holes. When fixing them, let it dry, not aloud cars, to go through so the pot hole won't keep coming back. Someone will get a flat tire.”
“After morning gym (next to Food Lion store) workout, I usually opt to stop by Food Lion store to grab fruits & vegetables. Generally it’s the best time to pick up fresh produce. I appreciate friendly team, prices are reasonable as well.”
“Yegna Ethiopian Market & Carryout is an absolute gem! The customer service was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Prices are very fair compared to other spots, and the food and products are authentic and high quality. Highly recommend!”
“This is a good place to shop for a variety of international grocery. It has originally fresh food with good selection. The employees keep it clean and organized, and are very helpful to customers.”
“(Translated by Google) A very attentive, efficient staff and excellent customer service!(Original)Un personal muy atento, eficiente y excelente customer service!”
“Food Lion is a great place for grocery shopping the people who work there are very kind makes for a good atmosphere for grocery shopping. l also like there blood pressure monitor station it's nice and free for me its always correct when l get my blood pressure check at food Lion blood pressure station.”
“I used the self-checkout today around 12:30 and was helped by a great employee! I had a few items that didn't scan and she quickly helped me out while still being friendly and greeting other customers. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name but she had silver hair and helped me get on my way very quickly. Massive shout-outs to her!”
“Really love this Aldi and frequent it. Such good prices- we can get a full cart for about $100. Good produce with usually some good organic options. Never too crazy busy. Definitely have to go on different days to catch some good stuff/sales.”
“Vegetables are great, is a super clean store, now self cashier ?. The only thing, cart ? need to be returned next to the store, still a great and affordable place. Thank you’ll for your hard work!”
“I love to shop here! I feel like I'm always saving some coins when I shop here compared to other grocery stores, especially Harris Teeter's expensive sales! Additionally, the coupons that we get for shopping here are amazing; I just saved $15 today just by clipping coupons in the app! We will continue to come back just like that cyber truck continues to come back. If you know, you know!”
“Excellent customer service! One of the online pickup girls, Grace, helped us find additional items we needed throughout the store and was very patient and thorough. Thanks Grace!”
“We stopped at this little shop on the way to our fishing hole. Lots of lures and fishing supplies to choose from to help facilitate the fishing trip. Drinks, snacks, and fishing gear, what else does one need? Oh there were plenty of live minnows if you are into the love bait. Great little store, even my wife was impressed.”
“Love going here! Totally pass up the self check out though, go get to know the employees because they’re totally awesome. They remember you by name and your preferences when it comes to checking out. The conversation is always kind, friendly and respectful. I mean, minus a couple employees here and there, but that’s with every place. The shelves are always stocked and has plenty of options. The produce is always fresh and always looks amazing. They really take care of the displays they put on. The parking lot is on a slight hill though and your cart will take off on you if you’re not careful. So, check this store out if you’re looking for a good neighborhood grocery store. Ask for Junior! Tell him Jeremiah said hi!”
“I had a great experience thanks to one of the employees, I think He is Name Mohammad . They were incredibly helpful, kind, and went out of their way to assist me with everything I needed. It’s rare to find such friendly and dedicated service, and it made my shopping so much easier and more pleasant. The store itself is always clean, well-organized, and stocked with a great variety of products. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff seem genuinely happy to help. I’ll definitely keep coming back and highly recommend this supermarket to others. Big thanks again to the whole team!”
“Had a brief, but pleasant experience with Paramjit. Just appreciated her smile and calm friendliness, and professionalism. Earlier that day, I came by and was walking in as your employee, Katie Leddon(I remember her from high school and middle school) was coming out. She smiled kindly at me as I passed her. I just appreciate little things. Added November 21, 2025: The young man, cashier, Dominic, has been quite pleasant giving decent customer service.”
“Convenient, neighborhood grocery store. I wish, the management/store manager will look into 1. expanding bread variety, 2. Bulk onion quality (onions are bigger in size and generally soft and not preferred). Thanks.”
“I don’t like the fact that the playground is up around the corner and not accessible to those who have problem walking. I don’t trust myself with two small children walking that far. But my daughter loves it and she will be taking us back on Sunday for a cookout.”
“Upon going in again , Jessica greeted me as normal. In asking questions specifically about my health, she is highly knowledgeable of everything i could ask. I recommend going here first before going to the doctor. The products-and literature available here are the best available. Thank you for providing to the community.”
“A Shining Star in Customer Service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had a fantastic experience at Food Lion, and I just had to share it! Larry, the best bald guy in customer service, truly made my shopping trip memorable. From the moment I walked in, I noticed Larry's warm smile and welcoming demeanor. He was actively assisting customers, making sure everyone felt attended to. It was clear that he genuinely cares about the people he helps. When I had a question about a product, Larry didn't just point me in the right direction—he took the time to walk me to the aisle and even shared some tips on how to use it! What really stood out to me was Larry's willingness to go the extra mile. He noticed I had a few heavy items in my cart and offered to help me carry them to the checkout. His positive attitude and friendly conversation made the experience even better. It's rare to find someone who is not only professional but also brings such genuine kindness to their work. Larry is a prime example of how excellent customer service can make a big difference. Thanks to him, I left Food Lion feeling valued and appreciated. If you ever visit this location, be sure to look for Larry—he’s the bald guy with the big heart, and he’s ready to help you with a smile! Overall, my experience was nothing short of wonderful, and I highly recommend this Food Lion to anyone in the area. Thank you, Larry, for making my day brighter!”
“My beloved grocery store! You can find seasonal items and groceries at bargain prices. I am sadly moving up north soon where there’s no Lidl and that’s sad. It will be my favorite store at all times. Good luck Lidl!”
“Very good Harris Teeter, awesome staff. Samara is the best Self-cashier manager, she pays attention and fixes stuff immediately, so very impressed with her. She’s told her she was the best at it bc so far she’s been the most efficient and effective I’ve seen in that self cashier area.”
The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
