“Wallace Automotive in Chesterfield is the best. From Ted and Ben at the front and the technicians doing the work you will be treated fairly and honestly. I have called them with car issues when I was on vacation and felt confident with the advice I was given. Give them a chance, you'll be pleasantly surprised.”

8600 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond VA 23235
“Came in around 8:45am to get oil change and state inspection. Originally I was going to drop my car off but asked the manager if they would be able to get it done before 9:30am. He said he would have to check the schedule and then said they could be done in about 45 minutes. Passed inspection but there were some other things wrong that they showed me, like the cabin and engine air filters needing to be changed, battery testing weak, and a nail in my tire that was causing it to lose pressure. They also stated all four tires would need to be replaced without really telling me anything else about why. Overall, fair price with coupon for full synthetic oil change, state inspect, rotation, engine and cabin air filter replacement.”

“Asked to have my passenger window motor replaced as it didn’t work properly in cold temperatures. The window was cleaned and lubricated and it now works perfectly. Appreciate that Wallace took the time to find out the simple and less expensive fix not just replace the window motor as I had requested. A lot of car shops would not have taken the time to determine a motor was not needed.”

“Great place with great people. They were very quick getting the work done, very easy to talk to and were transparent about what was going on to make the process feel smoother. You just have to get around the parking situation, seems intimidating at first but they're clearing cars out as quick as they come in!”

“Such a refreshing experience! I drive an Audi but live in chesterfield, so it’s wonderful to have an option for maintenance and repair close to home. The after hours drop off is safe and convenient. They called me just an hour after they opened and already ran a scan on my vehicle. They offered a straight forward, honest opinion on what needed to be done and gave me options without talking down to me. Highly recommend!”

“We've been taking our vehicles here for the last 6 years now and these guys are great! S&O is the kind of shop you can trust with your both wallet and your safety. Unexpected repair costs are never fun but when it comes down to it, S&O caught issues that the dealership missed even after we had given them direction on a potential problem. We really appreciate having an auto repair shop that's honest and knowledgeable.”

“My experience started a bit rough because I waited almost 45 minutes past my appointment time. However, once my car was taken in, the work was done efficiently. They replaced a leaking radiator hose and topped up coolant. The mechanic even ran the engine for a while to ensure there were no further leaks. It’s been a week and no overheating issues so far. I just wish scheduling was a bit tighter.”

“We've been working with Blaise at Anything Automotive for years, and he's consistently gone above and beyond. Most recently, he replaced a starter on our food truck that was just outside of warranty—waived the labor and gave it to us at his cost. You just don’t find many mechanics like that anymore. Blaise is prompt, honest, and always finds a way to squeeze us in—even when we’ve had to tow the truck in overnight. He calls first thing the next morning with an update. It’s rare to find someone who takes this kind of care with commercial accounts. Highly recommend.”

“This small local shop has come through for me and my 2009 VW like a charm - twice! Both times the need for repair was unexpected and left me with no working vehicle. RVA T&A took my car in within 24 hours, gave me a quote and time needed for repair and followed through just as they promised. Definitely my car shop of choice!”

“I meant to leave this review six months ago. Over the last 6/7 years I have had COTTMAN’s do many repairs on multiple vehicles for both my personal and my company vehicles. I’ve always been happy with their work and their prices are very good. I want to describe my experience on two repairs where the repairs didn’t go as planned 1. They rebuilt a transmission on my Ford expedition. A few months later unfortunately the rebuilt transmission started slipping. They honored their warranty and rebuilt the transmission again. Didn’t charge me a penny. The truck runs great 2. They replaced the rack and pinion steering on my GMC envoy. The new rack and pinion was defective from the manufacturer. They redid the work. Again didn’t charge me a penny. The truck drives great You find out about somebody’s integrity when things go sideways Stan and his team at COTTMAN’s have integrity. Highly recommend them to everyone!”

“Jevon and his team are amazing and so incredibly efficient every time I come for my oil change! He does a great job explaining the services that're offered while not coming across as a sales pitch. I go 25 minutes out of my way to come to this location for their team when there's a valvoline within 5 minutes of my home.”

“Visited Boulevard Tire & Auto for a tire change service. I couldn't be happier with how it went, Jay who runs the front took care of me, ensured that I got the best bang for my buck, and the service went flawlessly. I wouldn't recommend any other place for my vehicle in Richmond. Thank you Jay!!”

“The best price and service I’ve ever experienced. I got quotes from 3 other big name tire places along Williamsburg Rd/Labernum, and Quick Lane was the best. Both people I talked with were super nice and didn’t try to upsell anything. I saved over $200 from what my regular mechanic quoted. Thanks guys!!”

“UPDATE: Came again today & service was great just like last time. I really enjoyed talking to the employees. It felt like I was hanging out with friends while I got my oil changed. It was really hot, but that didn’t even bother me. That’s how thoughtful & quick the service was. Thanks again! ❤️ Came in last night and had a pretty decent experience. Amaya & Justin did a great job. Amaya was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. Good employees deserve to be recognized!”

“I am truly starting my life over. I was treated horrible by asking questions by the competing oil change business. I came here and they not only answered my questions but showed me how things work, allowed me to use my coupon and were so kind and compassionate. Little do they know, they started a journey for a woman with two Autistic children to be free and experience freedom and peace. They deserve the upmost recognition and kindness. Thank you for all that you do so we are safe on the road.”
