“Allison and Gricelda were very welcoming and helpful. Whenever I needed help with something Allison was prompt in resolving the issue, and Gricelda took so much stress off of me from how well she took care of me and cleaned my room weekly! Very friendly! The location is also very close to all the food places, grocery stores, and gas stations you could need, as well as close to the clinics and hospitals if you're travel nursing. On site laundry was also very useful! If I travel in that area again I would gladly rebook with them.”

“I was in a difficult situation recovering from surgery and needed a place that felt safe where I could meet every other day for a nurse to come and dress my wound. The people in the adjacent rooms to mine are fairly quiet. Every day I take a walk and see cars from numerous different states parked. There is ample parking. The hotel is also near any shopping I need to do.”

“I checked in yesterday and, after seeing some of the recent reviews, I felt it was important to share my own experience and what I personally observed.

I am also adding actual pictures of the room I checked into yesterday so everyone can see the current condition of the room for themselves. These are pictures from my room and reflect what I personally experienced during my stay.

As you can see in the pictures, the curtains have just been replaced and are brand new. I could also see that the hotel is actively upgrading different things throughout the rooms, including televisions and other room features. The management and staff are clearly putting time, money, and effort into improving the property.

I was genuinely impressed with the cleanliness and overall condition of my room. I have stayed at and seen many budget hotels, and I personally have rarely seen an Econo Lodge maintained at this standard. My room was clean, organized, comfortable, and well kept.

During my stay, I met Travis Raman and another member of the team personally and saw them actively working on improvements. Hospitality properties require continuous maintenance because many different guests use the rooms every day. Naturally, small damages and normal wear and tear can happen. What matters is how management responds, and from what I personally witnessed, this team is continuously working to upgrade and maintain the hotel.

I would encourage future guests to look at the pictures I have attached and the current condition of the property rather than making a decision based only on one or two negative reviews. This is an Econo Lodge, not a five-star luxury resort, so naturally you should not expect five-star amenities at a budget-hotel price. However, you can certainly expect a clean and comfortable room, essential amenities, and a management team that is actively maintaining and improving the property.

For the price being charged, I feel the hotel provides very good value and comfort. The pictures attached are of the actual room I checked into, so people can judge the condition for themselves. They show the new curtains, clean bedding, television, flooring, furniture, and the overall condition of the room.

Every guest is entitled to their own experience, but based on mine, I believe the management and staff deserve recognition for the improvements they are making. I appreciate their efforts and would encourage people to judge the hotel based on its current condition, the price they are paying, and the value it provides.”

“We had such a wonderful stay at the Comfort Inn Airport in Roanoke! The hotel was super clean, the service was excellent, and everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special shout-out to Danielle, who went above and beyond to make our stay a great one!
We had previously stayed at a Comfort Inn in another city and unfortunately had a really awful experience, so we honestly weren’t expecting much this time. What a pleasant surprise! This location completely changed our impression of Comfort Inn. From the cleanliness to the wonderful staff, everything was great. “I have stayed at 3 hotels over the last week on my way home. This by far was the best of them. Kitchen with full fridge. ❤️ Most comfortable bed and pillows all week. My only wish is if they served breakfast. And only issue was the trashbags left in the hallway over night. They made the second floor smell like cabbage. ?”

“This was a very nice hotel. You walk in and see beautiful lights a huge open area with a bar/small restaurant! The 4th floor did not have ice but we went down to the first for it. Our only complaint would be that the very cheap bed frame had a crack and flattened like a pancake when laid on. I would however recommend this hotel! Everything else was great. Even installed new carpet while we were here.”

“The woman at the front desk durning my stay 1/19-1/22, was awesome. She was like the only one working in the evening and she's doing awesome. Made my food to-go and checked people in while answering the phone give that girl a riase.

Food is decent, rooms are clean and nice, prices aren't bad, breakfast is good and clean, wifi isn't spotty. Good place. Only issue was the sink not draining properly, MINOR inconvenience. Will stay here again”

“I’ve stayed here 3 times now and this is hands down the cleanest motel 6 I’ve stayed at! It’s safe and in a good location. Plenty of parking. We had a trailer and they allowed us to park it sideways in the parking spots. There’s a big grass area for your dogs to go potty. Thank you for keeping it nice and clean. Will definitely be coming back.”

“I had a great stay at Hampton Inn & Suites! The location is one of its biggest advantages—it’s just minutes from the airport and within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants, and other conveniences, making it perfect for both business and leisure travelers.

The hotel is currently remodeling the front desk area, which shows they’re investing in improving the property. While breakfast wasn’t available during my stay, the room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. What really stood out was the excellent customer service. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made the entire experience enjoyable.

If you’re looking for a clean, conveniently located hotel with outstanding service, I would definitely recommend staying here.”

“Warm water arthritis pool conveniently located at the front, was beautiful and well kept, with clear water. Easy to book a room and breakfast was hearty and delicious with fresh real strawberries and blueberries. Located along our trip route, no hassle. Was quiet, and was smaller than the other hotels nearby, so a pleasant scale, not too many people.

“They lie about what the price is of the room and the don't have a cleaning service for the beds and they don't care about the about the people that stay here and they have bad electricity do to putting all money in there packet Instead of in to the motel. They said they don't allow dogs but they do and they charge u more for pets,the people in other rooms are disrespectful & loud as well as noise. I do not recommend staying at the Hollins motel AT ALL!!”

“I had a pleasant stay at Tru by Hilton Roanoke Hollins. The hotel was modern, clean, and well-maintained, making the stay comfortable from the moment we arrived.

I received an email the day before check-in encouraging me to complete pre-arrival check-in and request a Digital Key through the Hilton Honors app, mentioning “go straight to your room with Contactless Arrival.” I completed the online check-in, but upon arrival, the front desk still asked for my ID and credit card verification. This made the contactless check-in a bit unclear, though the check-in process itself was smooth.

The room was neat and comfortable, with clean bedding and a fresh atmosphere. I liked the contemporary design and overall cleanliness of the property. The location is convenient, especially for travelers needing quick access to the highway.

The complimentary breakfast was a nice addition, with a decent variety of options to start the day. After checkout, I also promptly received the final receipt by email, which was convenient. Overall, this is a great option for an overnight stay or short trip if you’re looking for a clean, budget-friendly hotel with good service.”

Give them the idea you want each one to be unique and special. “We were in Roanoke for a family reunion and had a wonderful stay at Home2 Suites. I booked through Capital One Travel to take advantage of the rewards and cashback, and our room was far more spacious and comfortable than I expected. But what really stood out was the customer service.

On our second day, I stepped out to grab Starbucks and run a few errands. When I returned, my room key wouldn't work, and that's when I discovered I had only booked one night.

A special thank you to Lezonne, who immediately stepped in to help. She was incredibly patient, kind and professional as she worked through every possible option with me. We even looked into whether I could rebook through the rewards app, but it appeared the room might already be unavailable. Instead of simply telling me there was nothing she could do, Lezonne found a solution that allowed both the incoming guests and me to be accommodated.

It's easy to provide good customer service when everything goes perfectly, but how someone responds when there's an issue says even more. What could have been a very stressful situation was handled with professionalism, patience and genuine kindness. Lezonne never made me feel like I was an inconvenience, and her willingness to go the extra mile made such a difference in our experience.
