“This was a one way trip from Nashville to Virginia Beach, as I booked the rental via Hertz app. App was easy to use to schedule my pickup and drop-off location. As far as the staff is concerned, they great and friendly at both locations. Got me in and out in no time. Will use Hertz again for my future needs.”
“Rented an absolutely horrible car. Worst I’ve ever rented. That said, Three, the gentleman at this location was absolutely wonderful. The car was so bad that it wasnt even able to be re-fueled due to a damaged fuel filler. The district manager, Sheila Williams, did nothing at all to help in fact she tried to charge me $10/gallon for the fuel when it was impossible to add fuel!
But Three was great! Very professional, and apologetic. I would rent from him again in a second. He agreed the car shouldn’t have been rented. Three should be the district manager.
I called the 800 number and they were awesome. They not only refunded the amount Shelia overcharged me but refunded the entire rental amount! So what started out as a bad experience ended up being very fair”
“We had an outstanding experience with the folks at this location: pleasant, professional, informative, and incredibly helpful. We picked up a prepaid large SUV from the Norfolk Airport on 09/06/25. We specifically requested a Suburban when booking, but after waiting 45 minutes at the rental desk, were given a Ford Expedition. The agent did not go over the contract with us - she just handed us the paperwork and told us where the car was parked. When we got inside, the vehicle was filthy with crumbs, sand, etc. After driving it that day, we decided to see if we could exchange it. We called the location at 3316 Virgina Beach Blvd. The gentleman who answered (unfortunately, we didn’t get their names) said that they had a Suburban on the lot and would be happy to exchange it for our Expedition. We arrived at 10:00 AM on Sunday, September 7th, 2025 and after a short discussion, exchanged vehicles. Our new vehicle (actually a Tahoe) was immaculate. Also during our conversation, he advised us that the Norfolk agent should have had us sign the original contract at the time of pickup and that she had added additional liability insurance to the rental when we had declined all Avis insurance when we booked and paid for the car. I hope Avis customer service is able to determine who helped us on this date, time, and location and give them the well-earned kudos they deserve. Thank you!”

“The rental process was a breeze. I'm a fastbreak member so that sped up the process as well. The original car I was given had a STRONG Marijuana smell. So when I reported it, they swapped out the car and sent me on my way.The inside of the facility needs some upgrading to make it more visually appealing, but for price and convenience I rent vehicles here all the time.”

“UPDATE: Components installed and all appear in working order. Still should be packaged better but updating rating based on parts condition and the fact that the business reached out in the event something had an issue.
ORIGINAL: Ordered suspension parts from them and this was how they arrived. Box smashed up, not due to mishandling, but clearly due to poor packing. zero support inside the box to either protect the parts from external forces that could be applied in a damaging way or to keep the heavy components from destroying the box. Hoping that once installed there is no sign of damage, will update stars as appropriate based on operating condition of parts.”
