They carry normal groceries and sometimes fancy things you don't see anywhere else. ​Here’s the most important tip: Always check the expiration date on the discounted stuff. ​The items that are marked way down usually have a date that is coming up soon. If you see a big discount, buy it! The savings are huge, but just make sure you eat it that day or the next day. ​If you are smart about checking the dates, Grocery Outlet is the best place to save money and find a lot of different things.”

    “Great store for a quick shopping trip. Recently updated and remodeled. You must try the deli they have great hot sandwiches and burgers. Also many options for warm up at home. I've tried the chicken enchiladas and pizzas and the family has loved them. Plenty of parking with easy access. Prices are always fair and a good variety on brands and options. They also have a nice flower shop. Staff is always smiling and ready to help answer any question I can.”

    “This store used to be called Lipps, back in the 1970's. It became JB's in the 80's. I grew up not far from this store. So it has sentimental value for me. These days, it's still a convenient place to get that little thing you need. The Beer and wine selection is formidable. They sell spirits too.”

    “Medical Lake is lucky to have a store like this. No need to drive into town for your grocery needs. Very friendly staff. Nice deli with hot food options. Have gotten breakfast to go multiple times also a great place for a quick bite for lunch. If you like that you have several tables to sit and eat in the store. Not a huge variety of brands that everything seems fresh, and fair priced. Staff if friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. It is nice to go into a place and the staff recognize you and a lot of times knows your name. Something you will only find in a smaller town store like this.”

    Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
