“I really love the Market. Unlike Safeway, it has local and more socially responsible food options, as well as more products that are good for my health. Unlike the other local coops, it has a vast variety of products and us a supermarket, not just a market. It is a lovey intersection between local and larger markets.”

They offer a whiteboard for product suggestions, a generous bulk section (with delicious pistachios), fresh and frozen water tank bread, local and ethically sourced goods from the farmers market as well as anything you would expect from a grocery store!

“I like this Safeway because it is clean and well-organized, but I’ve had two unpleasant experiences with an employee named Carolyn.
A few weeks ago, she was unfriendly and acted like helping us was a chore. When I returned this morning with a friend, the behavior continued. She glared at us several times while we shopped and even seemed to intentionally block our path near the self-checkout.
It’s a nice store, but I’m disappointed by the lack of respect. I’d like to be able to shop here without feeling like a nuisance to the staff or being mean mugged while trying to shop.”

“A secret spot harboring an outstanding bakery just off the way to Anacortes Wa. They feature a wide variety of muffins, cookies and breads with a neighborhood, corner store feel. The place should be featured in a movie with its creaking wood floors and screen door. I love it!”
