Arlington Veterinary Hospital
7728 204th St NE Suite B, ArlingtonMy 12 yr old dog was recently diagnosed with diabetes at another vet office. We moved almost immediately after that, to Arlington and needed to find a new doctor ASAP. The Arlington Veterinary Hospital got us in as soon as they could. We saw Dr Rebekah and we couldn’t be happier. We came to this appointment very overwhelmed and scared, and the Doctor alleviated those fears. She spent time with us, explaining the diagnosis, the treatment plan, and next steps. She made me feel like my concerns were important, and she really listened. She never rushed us, and we felt like she was willing to take all the time we needed in the exam room to feel more comfortable going forward. I left the office feeling hopeful for the first time. Thank you, Dr Rebekah and thank you to all the staff at Arlington Veterinary Hospital.

Tim Cavanagh, DVM
720 N W Ave, ArlingtonDr Cavanaugh’s is the absolute best Veterinarian in the whole wide world, he put my Besty Blaze that I had for 13+ years to sleep over the rainbow on 4/3/2023 I wouldn’t have been able to do it without him the next day he sent me flowers! I was so touched, and then, when I received his ashes, because I had him cremated, he paid for the urn, and had my dogs name engraved on the top and Cherrywood Box urn Absolute beautiful Writing BLAZE On the top❤️???? He is over at 10 if I could give him his Score it be 1000 Such a kind man and Veterinarian I highly recommend him. I will never go anywhere else. That’s why I’ve never gone anywhere else. I’m glad to be back in Arlington and that he’s still in practice. I am truly blessed.

Family Pet Medical & Surgery
3704 172nd St NE, ArlingtonMy cat unexpectedly died and I was overcome with grief and I called here to see if they had cremation services. The lady in the phone was very sympathetic and told me I could bring her in. When I arrived with my cat wrapped in a blanket the entire staff was incredible during this emotional time. I asked for some of her fur and whiskers along with her ashes. They did a beautiful job and I also got a memorial card and a paw print in clay and a wooden box with her name on it. It was way more than I ever expected and I will cherish that forever. Thank you all for everything you did.

Northwest Dog Retreat
19306 8th Ave NW, ArlingtonWe’ve had a really positive experience with Northwest Dog Retreat. The recent management transition seems to have brought a lot of positive improvements, and the staff has been friendly, professional, and easy to work with.
The facility itself is clean and well maintained, and I like that the dogs get supervised playtime with plenty of room to run around. They have multiple outdoor play areas, good separation of dogs when needed, and the staff always seems attentive and engaged with the animals.
One thing I especially appreciate is the communication while your dogs are staying there. They’ll send pictures and updates so you can see your dogs out playing and enjoying themselves, which definitely helps give peace of mind when you’re away.
The indoor/outdoor kennels, climate-controlled spaces, heated floors, and 24/7 staffing also make the place feel safe and well thought out. Most importantly, my dogs came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for.
I also understand they’ll be expanding their training services in the future, which I’m really looking forward to checking out.
I’d definitely recommend Northwest Dog Retreat to anyone looking for boarding, daycare, or training services.

Skookum Brewery
17925 59th Ave NE A, ArlingtonReally great venue! My only thoughts are how hard it is to close out during a big event. The line was wrapping around the building and we just wanted to leave…you could sell the cans to people ready to buy, but we still had to wait to close out…? the beer and the venue were great otherwise…that line just took FOREVER and we felt like unnecessarily. Additionally, multiple people had cash ready for the ladies selling the $5 beers (that’s plus tax), and they were only taking those with cards on file….let them take cash next time…it will help the line wind down!

Whitehorse Tavern
304 N Olympic Ave, ArlingtonI very much enjoyed the Whitehorse Tavern. I very much recommend stopping by for food, drinks, and history. There are a lot of games scattered about for us to play. The building is 80 years old and the owners did an incredible job remodeling. They saved the original murals on the walls. There is a lot of cool stuff at the Whitehorse. The staff is excellent. The service is fast. This is definately a new favorite of mine.
