“I went to Ace Hardware this morning and seriously got the Old School Hardware store customer service treatment. Im Pretty sure the Gentleman's name was Ben. I haven't received that type of customer service in a very long time and I appreciate it. When The Hardware store Gentleman tries His very hardest to help you make sure you're set up that's important. Nowadays that just doesn't happen as often as it should.”

“I love Stewart Lumber! Probably my favorite neighborhood spot. Clayton and Ryan are always very friendly and super helpful, I've learned a lot by talking to them about the lumber they have in stock and various other hardware. Grateful to have such an awesome local hardware store! The staff here are certainly way more knowledgeable than at the big name stores, so it's an incredible place for DIYers like me.”

“We buy most of our tile installation materials from Master Wholesale unless we need something on the fly, they happen to be out or not carry something specific we are needing. All staff members we’ve ever engaged with are always helpful. We always get fair pricing and they will price match our other suppliers if there is something we find cheaper. Highly recommend for tile installation materials and tools.”

“I took a Joinery Fundamentals class at Rockler this past Wednesday and learned so much! Duncan did a great job of explaining the why behind each step of our build (a small box with a divider), he thoughftully answered all my questions, he gave bonus insight on squaring lumber in preparation for a project, and he even recommended a few woodworking books! He let me know he's hoping to lead a woodmilling class in the future—I'll definitely be keeping an eye out, as I'd love to attend! I highly recommend classes at Rockler to anyone looking to get started woodworking, as this experience was very approachable for a beginner like myself.”

“I'd like to comment on the positive service I received from Micky and Luis at the Normandy Park location earlier this week. I visited the showroom looking for a composite decking material that would accent some other areas on my property but wasn't sure which color/brand/style to go with. First Micky showed me the selection of products that were in stock and went over the differences between the textures and installation methods. We went through about 12-15 different ones to find the right accent material that would go with my design idea. Once we landed on the product she gave me the ticket and Juan came out to take care of my order. He confirmed the material before cutting the 20' sticks into 10' sections to be easier to transport. The whole transaction was smooth and a nice interaction from the customer service pros at Dunn Lumber. Thanks again guys and we'll see you on the next project!”

“I love McLendon hardware. They always do a great job. They always have what you need and they are actually in a pretty decent part of town. Some of the road work is kind of awkward around the business but once you get inside their parking lot, it's pretty smooth sailing. The people there are very nice and they are very informative about what you are looking for. I recently bought a Kershaw knife from them and it is very high quality. They have a great spectrum of quality products so that way if you can only afford a little bit they still have it for you. If you can afford a lot then they have a high quality options as well. It's great. You can get exactly what you are looking for without having to worry about being priced out. And if I remember right, I think they can actually order things for you as well and you can pick it up at the store. And they are also right next to restaurants too.”

“Logan went over the virtues and risks of different widths of materials with me to be certain I would have the highest quality cedar and pine for my South Sound project. It was a lot of fun stopping in to the yard and getting a tour of the facilities. Loren, the owner, named his son Logan, who now runs material in the yard, in honor of his good friend who is also the operations guy I spoke with. Real family business with best of family values.”

“Island Lumber is an institution and a gem in our community. They are one of the few remaining hardware business where there’s healthy group of employees who seriously know what they are talking about, a rarity, and have done what you’re doing. I routinely get and rely on great advice. Their lumber yard is well-stocked, well-staffed and rapid. Their prices fairly reflect the costs of doing business in a place where everything comes in by ferry. The expertise is priceless. Bring your dog. She needs a treat.”

Whatever gasket or bolt you need they’ve got or can get quickly. They’ve got all the gaskets and provide them for most of the bigger suppliers. Just recently, I had them make me a custom sink gasket as seen in the photo below and I couldn’t be happier. Primo Job. I’ll come back again and again!!!”

“Ace Hardware Normandy Park is my favorite hardware store. I can find everything I need here. If they don't have an item in stock, they order it for me and I get it fast. The employees are all nice and helpful. I shop here often, so I don't usually need any help finding items since I know where most things are located. But when I need assistance, they are here to help--from getting items on a high shelf, to making keys, mixing paint, cutting hoses/pipe and delivering bagged gravel. The Ace Rewards Plus Program is great.”
