2726 Jackson Hwy, ChehalisOur family loves this place. The staff is all very friendly and they have a great selection of food for our fur babies. The owner hand selects the brands they carry to make sure they have the best quality food and treats so I always feel comfortable buying anything from them. We took advantage of their group training which worked wonders on our dog's behavior. He was always such a sweet dog, but he actually listens now! We take our dog to their doggy day care quite often and he absolutely loves it and will literally beg us to take him on days he has to stay home.

Timberland Veterinary Hospital

Jones Creek Brewing
173 Beam Road, ChehalisWe have always found their brews to be tasty and satisfying. It has been a bit since the last bicycle ride from Chehalis to their place in Jones Creek.
We were doubly surprised when not only was there an expansion of their drink menu- they are now making farm fresh bites for travelers stopping by. To step it up they also had vegan tacos -/ an option.
Before I was always needing to bring a snack to make it back to our vehicle. This time I had a prebiotic soda and two vegan tacos.
The ingredients are primarily farm fresh including the kicking green homemade salsa. My hubby got the two vegan tacos too and added the kicking green salsa.
The tacos had fried potatoes, peppers, poblanos, all grilled with fresh radish, cilantro, and onions sprinkled on top.
Owners run a small tight shop that is always friendly and has plenty of space for adults , kids, pets and bicycles.
The food made it more enticing for a stop out a bit but worth every minute of the glorious country drive or ride.

Joy's Once Upon a Thyme
1090 NW State Ave, ChehalisJoy’s Once Upon a Thyme is an absolute gem. The atmosphere is warm, the staff is welcoming, and the food—most of it—is genuinely fantastic. Their chicken pesto sandwich is a standout: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. It’s one of those sandwiches you remember long after you leave.
I also love that this place was featured by Guy Fieri on Diners, Drive‑Ins & Dives (Season 34, Episode 13). It’s easy to see why—there’s a lot of heart and creativity in the menu.
The only small miss for me was the French dip. The sandwich itself was good, but the au jus leaned a bit watered down and didn’t have the depth I expected. Still enjoyable, just not quite on par with their other excellent dishes.
Even with that, Joy’s easily earns five stars. Great people, great flavors, and a local spot absolutely worth supporting.

355 NW Chehalis Ave, ChehalisLove this place. The sandwich's are made well with fresh ingredients. The buns are always fresh. The environment over all is quite nice. These ladies run a tight ship. Clean tables, not tacky crap on the walls, you can see where your sandwich is being made and by who. No annoying teenager music being played. And they got sprouts.

Lewis County Animal Shelter
560 Centralia Alpha Rd, ChehalisWhen I got Maverick last year the staff were really helpful and they even let us take some toys and other goodies. Maverick has been the best edition to our family. When he was in the shelter he was thought to be a pitbull mix but I did a Emabrk DNA test in him and he is a Golden Retriever Frenchie Boston Terrier mix. He is extremely smart. I have taught him 15 tricks since I had him and he absolutely loves water and to play fetch! I highly recommend this shelter if your looking for a new furry companion!
