“Absolutely love this store and highly recommend it!! Staff is so friendly and helpful, great selection of items, super clean and organized and in my opinion, not overly expensive. I’d much rather spend a little more supporting a small business like Mud Bay than a chain pet store. “Wonderful place! Our dog has so many allergies and the employees knew exactly what to look for. We usually spend a good 30 minutes in new dog stores looking at ingredients our dog can have. While we were still listing off the allergies the employee picked up a bag, handed it to us and it had exactly what we were looking for.They are also super friendly and gave us several bags of sample foods and treats to try. Definitely my favorite dog store in Tacoma area.”

“Came here because my cats needed their nails trimmed and I didn't feel like getting my eyes clawed out. At first I felt like somewhat of an inconvenience or at the very least awkward ("Are they both cats?"--No, one is an alien. What? "Are you going to hold them?"--No, I'm going to let them run amok while you chase them with clippers.) But, regardless of that, it was super quick, the cats did great, and now they are not murderous half-alien half-cat creatures. ;) We will be back with the murder kitties and also with my pup (who is also not an alien, btw.)”

“Perfect place to get my dog AllyMarie her 14th birthday present (98 dog years). Her first treats came from here 13 and 3/4 years ago. easter pictures and other events since then. FYI you do lose do potential customers due to rope thinking you are closed due to dark windows. Your workers always seem to be great and knowledgeable”
“I love this store and I love the staff. I am and still am very grateful for this store. When I was homeless they gave me free dog and cat food. And even when I am down bad and can't afford pet food, they always find a way to help. They are kind and very generous and I am forever grateful to them. Thank you so much!!”

“Love Fort Fido! We have a senior black lab (Maverick) and a pup (Jester) who couldn’t be more different. Fort Fido allows them each to do their own thing during the day, but also share the same space at night like they do at home. It’s very comforting to know they’re in such good hands. The owners and staff are also very understanding and accommodating. We love and trust that when we travel we know our fur babies are in a safe and happy place which makes our time away from them a little less difficult. ❤️”
“The people here are absolutely lovely humans who care about your furbaby! The groomers are top tier, do an incredible job, and even my anxious dog loves going in for his grooming dates! They also have a great selection of food, treats, toys, and accessories. You gotta check this place out!”
“I was able to walk in today and get my dogs nails clipped right away on the spot despite being busy with other dogs! It was $23 for cut and dremmel which I thought was a great price compared to having my vet do it. I have driven by this store a million times meaning to go into look at their nursery and plant pots but never have. I walked around the store while my dog was getting his nails trimmed. What a cool place.... Part pet store, part hardware store, nursery, clothing... it was just so cool! I'll be stopping by Wilco a lot more often!”

“Found my best friend at the shelter. Flora was recommended by our shelter assistant, as the best dog for our quiet but busy lifestyle and she was definitely right. Flora has become the sweetest member of our family. She was very scared at first but within a couple of hours she warmed up to us and became such a blessing to our lives. She is so loving and very intelligent and seems to have a six sense already to relax when we are in stress mode. She gets cuddly and gives kisses to change my mood from stressed to chilled in minutes. She loves her new toys and her new Buddy next door as well. She is having so much fun exploring her new surroundings and seems to really enjoy cuddling on the couch, going for rides in the car, as well as cuddling in bed with me at night night time. Couldn't ask for a better companion. Thanks to all the staff at the Humane Society...you made a perfect match.”

“I always bring Myster with me when I go in to pick up his food. He is well behaved, and the staff are always friendly, aware of his size, breed, and courteous. I had asked one staff member where his brand of dog food (Fat Dogs) was located as we couldn't find it, and she quickly walked toward us to take us down another row, at which point he started barking at her as if to say 'not so fast'. I did apologize for his barking at her, explaining that to him, she rushed up to us, and he was protecting without being aggressive. She didn't acknowledge, just shied away from us the rest of the time in the store. The rest of our visit to this location was great. He met another dog, other customers who asked to pet him, commented on how well behaved he was.I have observed that most of the staff approach customers slowly when they have their pets with them, no matter the size or breed. I'm sure she didn't mean any harm as she was busy, and I hope she is fine, but that she will think twice before approaching someone else in a hurry. Even small dogs protect their owners.Thank you, I love shopping at this Petco.”

“I can only speak to how amazing the aquatics dept and cashier staff were on my last trip I got off of work late and had to run there because I had quite few purchases to make the three staffs members on hand were absolutely amazing and very helpful with every need helping me get three corals chromis and definitely helped me pick out an amazing puffer as my centerpiece fish! They said they were more than happy to be there a bit late to help me and genuinely helped me despite it very grateful hopefully they view some of the photos to see the tank!”
“i just moved from cali and was having a hard time finding and let alone trusting a groomer with my fur baby. My last resort was pet co and IM GLAD I MADE THIS DECISION ! they made my dog into a completely different one when he walked into the appointment. from the gate the groomers were super sweet and even during rhinos appt when he was throwing a fit about being washed the groomers were super patient with rhino. they made me feel relieved and i definitely plan on making this his permanent grooming place !”

“This has become me and my partners go to pet store. With friendly service and competitive prices to even chain pet stores, what's not to love? They are not shy to give samples of treats for your pets to try either, which definitely has us coming back. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable. They give such a "you're part of the family" vibe that is hard to come by nowadays. All in all if you live around the Fircrest area, or even if you don't, and you have a pet you love, give Chopper's a chance.”
