413 N 1st St, KalamaKalama is a nice lunch stop when we're on I-5. The Antique Deli serves delicious sandwiches. I loved the BLT; the bacon was cooked just right, and the vegetables were fresh. The bread is excellent. My husband got the club sandwich. You have to dismantle it to get a bite! Charming place with friendly people and lots of interesting history.

1230 N Hendrickson Dr, KalamaStopped here for coffee on the way to work they are out there where kind of have the market cornered good for them conveniently seconds off of the freeway and back on as needed makes good coffee surroundings are gravel parking lot big enough for any RV motorhome trailer oh shoot semi plenty of room to turn around after getting coffee to get back on the freeway

135 N 1st St, KalamaAbout once a month I find myself down in the area, and this is a must-stop kind of place. Awesome gourmet dogs, and some of the best chili I've had (short of my own ?)
Looks like a killer selection of craft brews and good liquors as well. (I haven't tried any as yet, since I recently found out I'm diabetic, so watching my sugars).
And no stop would be complete without bringing home a bottle of one of the amazing hot sauces made by a local company whose name unfortunately escapes me at the moment.

274 NE Frontage Rd, KalamaEveryone keeps telling me it's not as good since it sold. I finally tried it this week and I disagree! The food was the same and still delicious. The food is the same style as what we got 60 years ago when I was a kid. Hubby & I shared the Lunch Special "D" and had leftovers. Best value on Chinese food anywhere. Even the fortune cookies at the end were excellent!
