Whipple Creek Veterinary Hospital
1912 NE 179th St, RidgefieldI have two cats, m + f, that were served at another Vet. I explained that the female was "difficult" when getting shots and offered to help hold the cat, but that vet was huffy and said she could administer a shot without my help. She got bitten and then complained that I had a nasty cat. Time for a new vet. Went to Whipple Creek because it's a shorter trip from my home (called for appointment first). Explained the "shot problem" my one cat (the other is quite mellow). I was allowed to assist in holding her down (along with the Vet Tech). Shot delivered with a spit and me-howl -- then it was over. No-one bitten and no further problems. I was offered (and accepted) a 3-year rabies vaccine (so fewer shots over time). Don't understand the negative reviews, as I've had nothing but good experiences with this vet since I started with them shortly after they set up shop here.

Next time we go I'll order food for sure. It's definitely worth a visit, plenty of street parking, and the seating availability is great! Lots of options, indoor and outdoor.

Confluence Winery
19111 NW 67th Ave, RidgefieldWe attended a Spring Barrel tasting at Confluence Winery yesterday, hosted by Greg Weber, Owner/Winemaker. A group of six people tasted 4 red varietals, that were of 2023 vintage. All had been in the oak barrels for only 5 months at this point. We were all amazed at the favor profile and drinkability of these young wines. As explained by Greg, Confluence will not bottle a red until it is barrel-aged 24-48 months, further enhancing the favor profile and complexity. Greg's wine knowledge enabled us the get informative answers to all our wine questions! It was definitely time well spent and enjoyable! Recommended for all wine lovers!
