Lower Columbia Veterinary Clinic
871 12th Ave, LongviewI highly appreciate the team at Lower Columbia Veterinary Clinic my little Yorkipoo Oni got attacked by my bigger dog on Wednesday night 2/4/26 the next morning 2/5/26 I tried calling my regular vets which neither could get my girl in one of them recommended Lower Columbia I called and left a voicemail explaining the situation they called me back within 30mins and was willing to take her I dropped her off and the staff was very friendly and helpful when the vet called she gave me two options we decided it was best to have my girl put under and have tubes and stitches put in when I picked her up once again I was met with friendly staff I had to ask them to change my girls meds to liquid instead of pills as it is difficult to pill my girl and I knew it would be even hard with her wound they were more than happy to do that for me and everyone was super friendly I got my girl and booked appointments to get her tubes and stitches taking out I highly recommend this place as everyone staff and vets were friendly and I had an amazing experience

Cowlitz Animal Clinic
763 Commerce Ave, LongviewI was very surprised and so grateful for Cowlitz Animal Clinic, not only did they get my little Oliver in with only 25 minutes before they were to close I felt a huge relief because Oliver had been getting progressively worse each day with a hurt leg. They took him in the back found the problem and shaved the infected area and drained the wound and added 14 days of antibiotics for him for $180 and I only had $168 the lady behind the counter told me don't worry about it I'll cover the rest! Now the veterinarian and the staff are very kind and definitely love animals. I will always be very grateful and recommend Cowlitz Animal Clinic to everyone I know. Thank you!

International K9 Search and Rescue Services
269 18th Ave, LongviewI emailed Harry at 12:42 a.m. and he responded at 12:56 a.m, so right off the bat, I knew he meant business. His response email asked for many details, all of which were crucial to providing as much detail as possible so he could have an accurate picture of what the situation was.
He called the next morning and provided an extremely long and detailed phone consultation on our very first phone call. His confidence in his knowledge and ability really brought some peace of mind and comfort in a time when I was a frantic mess.
I went from thinking my dog could be anywhere in the world to realizing that he was very likely in the exact same place he had last been seen. Unfortunately that place was a MASSIVE industrial complex with thousands of hiding places.
I went from sobbing in the car, too overwhelmed to move, to action-plan-oriented with concrete steps to put into motion. His method was counterintuitive to everything that came naturally. I wanted to tear that construction yard apart while calling Huxley, but he made it clear that not only was that a complete waste of energy, it would drive him deeper into hiding. I REALLY want to emphasize following Harry’s instruction, even if it feels counterintuitive.
I scoured the web for tips to find Huxley and nowhere did I find the information Harry provided that got our baby home. I was fully prepared to hire him and his dogs for their tracking services, but his consult alone provided me with the strategy to find Huxley.
After Huxley was first spotted by a construction worker who had called my number from the flier, I had no idea what to do. My heart was pounding and I just wanted my dog back. I texted Harry and he called immediately with next steps, even sending me the Spanish translations to ask the workers to stop yelling and chasing.
I truly believe that had I not contacted Mr. Oakes, we would not have our Huxley back home and safe. I can’t recommend him more highly. Call him, fill out the questionnaire, trust the process. I’m glad I did.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Corner Cafe
796 Commerce Ave, LongviewAtmosphere???? It seems like an old doctor's office turned into a restaurant. BUT don't let that keep you from giving them a chance. Food is great, staff is very friendly, plenty of parking, and the price is crazy cheap. I had a steak breakfast, homegirl had a specialty pancake breakfast, and homeboy had a jam packed omelette and everything was les then $50 WELL worth it. 10 out of 10 will eat there again.

Ashtown Brewing Co.
1145 11th Ave, LongviewMy wife and I stopped into Ashtown Brewing on a Saturday night in December. It wasn’t very busy, which gave me a chance to chat with Jarrett, the owner—you can really tell how passionate he is about craft brewing, entrepreneurship, and the local community. Super nice guy.
The beer was excellent. I had the Viking Disco, and we also tried the Green Jacket and Cranberry Blood Orange seltzers—both packed with way more flavor than you’d expect from a seltzer.
The space is large and inviting, with a bay door that can open up in the warmer months. Definitely a must-stop spot for beer, seltzer, and cider. We’ll be back next time we’re in town—easily the best spot in Longview.

Galaxy Gourmet
1232 Commerce Ave, LongviewLike many salad bar lovers, I've mourned the loss of all-you-can-eat salad bars since 2020. Most places now offer sad little side salad stations or entree add-ons with limited options, but Galaxy Gourmet in Longview is the real deal!
After reading great reviews online, my husband and I made the 45-minute drive from the Oregon coast, and it was absolutely worth it. The restaurant is located in charming downtown Longview – I've passed it countless times without noticing this unassuming little gem!
From the moment we walked in, Carly(K?) made us feel welcome. She seated us, took our drink orders, and invited me to dive into the salad bar. The selection is phenomenal! So many fresh, colorful options, all properly chilled and beautifully presented. And here's what really impressed me: they offer generous-sized plates (not those tiny dessert saucers most places provide). Let's just say I filled mine enthusiastically and regret nothing! ??
The ranch dressing is out of this world! ?? There's also a soup bar, breads, and plenty of dressing varieties. My salad was absolutely delicious and satisfying. My husband had both a salad and a sandwich – his sandwich was beautiful and he loved it.
Carly checked on us at just the right intervals for refills, and her genuine friendliness with all the customers was heartwarming. You can see that everyone loves her, and it's easy to see why. She made us feel so comfortable.
Galaxy Gourmet has become our new go-to spot. It's priced right for the times, the food is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is friendly, cozy, and casual. We'll definitely be back again and again.

Sushi Sakura Restaurant
1310 Ocean Beach Hwy, LongviewBeen here as a regular although I don’t get out much because I am disabled. But this is my goto Japanese restaurant. I cook Asian meals for my wife and son so I know well this kind of food and I love it. I din’t do sushi but the Nabeyaki Udon is killer. My wife and son love the various bento trays as well. Always leftovers and fairly priced. One of the best restaurants in Longview!

Roland Winery and Tasting Room
1106 Florida St, LongviewI don't know where to begin with this place. The family who owns and run the place make everyone feel like family. The tasting room is quaint and they have a record player in the back you can play records on. The pizza is my absolute favorite I've ever had. We enjoy making wine tasting trips around the PNW and no matter how many wines I try, Roland is the wine club I would choose to join every time, the wine is *chefs kiss*.

Siam Spice
1328 Commerce Ave, LongviewYou will not find better Thai food anywhere in this county …trust me, I’ve tried them all. This restaurant is a true gem and reminds me of the authentic northern Thai food close to the Laos border. The Pumpkin Curry and Duck dishes are amazing, the northern curry noodles are delicious and the Larb salad (not even found on many American Thai menus) is the best version I’ve ever had. Trust me, the Larb salad is worth the $20 as it’s big enough for a meal or a table share before the entrées. All the dishes are large and the crispy dishes like the Crispy Basil Chicken are amazing and they don’t have a heavy batter or greasy bad oil taste like some fried foods. I think you’ll agree, this very eclectic - husband and wife run Thai restaurant is a hidden gem of Longview.
