International K9 Search and Rescue Services
269 18th Ave, LongviewI emailed Harry at 12:42 a.m. and he responded at 12:56 a.m, so right off the bat, I knew he meant business. His response email asked for many details, all of which were crucial to providing as much detail as possible so he could have an accurate picture of what the situation was.
He called the next morning and provided an extremely long and detailed phone consultation on our very first phone call. His confidence in his knowledge and ability really brought some peace of mind and comfort in a time when I was a frantic mess.
I went from thinking my dog could be anywhere in the world to realizing that he was very likely in the exact same place he had last been seen. Unfortunately that place was a MASSIVE industrial complex with thousands of hiding places.
I went from sobbing in the car, too overwhelmed to move, to action-plan-oriented with concrete steps to put into motion. His method was counterintuitive to everything that came naturally. I wanted to tear that construction yard apart while calling Huxley, but he made it clear that not only was that a complete waste of energy, it would drive him deeper into hiding. I REALLY want to emphasize following Harry’s instruction, even if it feels counterintuitive.
I scoured the web for tips to find Huxley and nowhere did I find the information Harry provided that got our baby home. I was fully prepared to hire him and his dogs for their tracking services, but his consult alone provided me with the strategy to find Huxley.
After Huxley was first spotted by a construction worker who had called my number from the flier, I had no idea what to do. My heart was pounding and I just wanted my dog back. I texted Harry and he called immediately with next steps, even sending me the Spanish translations to ask the workers to stop yelling and chasing.
I truly believe that had I not contacted Mr. Oakes, we would not have our Huxley back home and safe. I can’t recommend him more highly. Call him, fill out the questionnaire, trust the process. I’m glad I did.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Corner Cafe
796 Commerce Ave, LongviewThe food is great, a little under seasoned for my tastes but it gives it wider appeal. I came in around 2pm on a Friday during a light rainy day and the wait was longer than expected, but the food made up for it and you can see how hard the staff work to keep up. Solid choice for an outing, average prices, a bit too loud with how popular it seems to be. I just don't recommend if your stomach is already growling like mine was because it will definitely be a wait?

Ashtown Brewing Co.
1145 11th Ave, LongviewMy wife and I stopped into Ashtown Brewing on a Saturday night in December. It wasn’t very busy, which gave me a chance to chat with Jarrett, the owner—you can really tell how passionate he is about craft brewing, entrepreneurship, and the local community. Super nice guy.
The beer was excellent. I had the Viking Disco, and we also tried the Green Jacket and Cranberry Blood Orange seltzers—both packed with way more flavor than you’d expect from a seltzer.
The space is large and inviting, with a bay door that can open up in the warmer months. Definitely a must-stop spot for beer, seltzer, and cider. We’ll be back next time we’re in town—easily the best spot in Longview.

Galaxy Gourmet
1232 Commerce Ave, LongviewWe had the pleasure of experiencing this restaurant in two ways. First, they catered our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner, and everything was outstanding. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive, making the event run smoothly. The food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable — we couldn’t have asked for better service on such a special occasion.
A day or two later, we visited the restaurant itself to enjoy their food again. The atmosphere was decent, and once again, the staff was welcoming. I ordered the lamb gyro, and it was fantastic! We’ll gladly return, and I would absolutely use them again for another event if the opportunity arises.

Roland Winery and Tasting Room
1106 Florida St, LongviewI don't know where to begin with this place. The family who owns and run the place make everyone feel like family. The tasting room is quaint and they have a record player in the back you can play records on. The pizza is my absolute favorite I've ever had. We enjoy making wine tasting trips around the PNW and no matter how many wines I try, Roland is the wine club I would choose to join every time, the wine is *chefs kiss*.

Triangle Tavern
934 Washington Way, Longview10/05/2025 I just realized we haven’t updated our review in four years - so - We need to go back and update menu photos too. Hopefully the prices are relatively the same.
When we walked in this evening, Triangle was packed! They had football games playing on multiple screens, and as usual, the crowd was lively and in (mostly) good spirits.
We ordered the mac & cheese bites, and I’m going to suggest that you *never, ever ordered them - *Especially if you are on a diet - they are stupid good, and hard to resist! Mr. wonderful ordered the Sourdough Patty Melt with tots and of course - left nothing on his plate. I had the BLT. Only complaint - fries could’ve been crispier. Everything else = perfect. I spoke with Linda who was our server this evening (she was fabulous even with the crowd and chaos) and she confirmed that I CAN order crispy fries, so - I’m thrilled! We have and we will continue to recommend Triangle Tavern - after all, lots of good things came out in 1959 - like Mr. Wonderful. :-)
This will be a place that we frequent! Tonight, Jamie was our server and she is one of the best waitresses that we’ve had in years. She has a sincere, friendly demeanor and was practically intuitive to our needs. Jamie is remarkably efficient! We had the Poutine; which was ridiculously good! My darling had the house (bone in) barbecued wings and a Caesar salad… yep, he found his bliss! We also enjoy their sister restaurant Silver Star and suggest that you try them both.
We always have a good time here. Peyton is usually our server and she is wonderful. The last time we were here she and Josh (?) tag teamed and we couldn’t have asked for better or faster service! Payton recommended the pretzel fries over a poutine (which I’ve had twice before). And I can see pretzel fries becoming a really bad habit, they are delicious! I enjoyed a salad to make up for my appetizer, and it was was really good. Mr. Wonderful (aka: Hubs) had the fish tacos, which he devoured. Triangle Tavern is just fun! The atmosphere (oh! Established in 1959 just like Mr. Wonderful)! the googly eyes, (anyone who’s been in this establishment knows what I’m talking about) the servers, the food, everything, equals fun!

Siam Spice
1328 Commerce Ave, LongviewGrabbed some take-out orders of chicken pad thai near closing time on a Friday night. We called the order in directly, and it was ready for pickup in about 15 minutes. The portion sizes were generous, quite tasty, and had plenty of chicken in them. Interestingly, they provided a slice of lemon as a garnish, whereas I'm used to pad thai being served with a lime. With tip, our total for for the two orders of chicken pad thai ran about $45, which I feel was fair given that each order was two portions.

Sushi Sakura Restaurant
1310 Ocean Beach Hwy, LongviewNote: signs and menu say SUSHI SAKURA. Nice greeting, delicious food in large portions beautifully presented. Reasonable prices. Restrooms are dingy and no heat, furnishings showing their age and an unpleasant mop bucket sits where everyone sees it while heading to the dining booths.

Nipps Drive-Through
980 Ocean Beach Hwy, LongviewNice enough place. Came in at a super busy time so the girl taking orders was trying to do 3 things at once leading to a 10 minute wait to get to order. I liked my burger but my daughter wasnt happy with the cod. All in all, worth another shot, everybody has a bad day now and then.

Porky's Public House & Eatery
561 Industrial Way, LongviewClose, close 5.
I haven't been here in about 15yrs.
Definitely not the same place, but that isn't all bad.
For the Cons, my Beer Cheese Soup had red and green bell peppers and I am allergic. No.where were peppers mentions and also found it to be odd.
Cocktail also wasn't great, but it was strong so my Buddy gave it a thumbs up.
The Service was Fantastic! !
Walked in and Hosted went to clean a table for us straight away. Our Serve was absolutely Fantastic! Offered to fix the soup and remembered I didn't want any sauces. My plate came with plenty of sauces and she immediately apologized. I was impressed she had not only remembered, but she made sure to address it.
Had to send pics to friends of the Prime Rib.
Not the quaint Beer Dive of old, but not far from Fine Dinning with the help of Christmas Decor.
Plans are made to return!
