    “I've shopped at this store since it opened. It's a store that does its own thing, and it does it well. It doesn't try to copy Safeway, Fred Meyer, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, etc. They have a solid selection, the staff are friendly, and the prices aren't that bad. I make a habit of trying something there that I haven't tried before. Thanks for being a solid addition to our city's grocery store selection!”

    “A man in the meat department chopped up chicken for me when there was NO PULLED CHICKEN in the deli one day. A woman next to him was a bit rude to me and snubbed me to address the needs of a different customer, she used to be the cleaning, custodial worker, got promoted to MEAT.”

    “I’m house sitting for a friend this weekend in the neighborhood and I absolutely adore this store— The Thomas Lake Store— the employees are all so helpful and kind. Anita at self-checkout has been especially affable and accommodating when I come in. It really reminds me of my former local grocery store in New Orleans that was my lifeline with my son. It’s so nice to experience a grocery store that still has folks like Anita who make your day if you need a smile. We can all use more kindness in our lives. Also this store has every single authentic ingredient I needed to make an authentic Gumbo. I have not found a store with Kitchen Bouquet, crystal hot sauce, and Tony chacheres, and the secret ingredient to an authentic gumbo since I moved back home six weeks ago. This Safeway has it and Anita was so helpful showing me how to scan the QR code on the newsletter to clip the coupons.”
