I was in line and paying for my purchases when there was another customer lined up just behind me. Another cashier quickly opened up her cash register to help the customer so there was no wait time. “Grocery outlet is great! I always end up spending way more than I planned. Luckily, things really are discounted nicely, which is probably why I think it's ok to keep grabbing stuff and putting it in my cart, kinda like when the dollar store was a actually a dollar for their merch. Anyway, Grocery Outlet carries a lot of healthy items you won't see everywhere else, and specialty items as well. Some things come, and some things go and you may never see them again, but it's how they make room for all the new and different stuff that comes in, I suppose. Really good deals. One time, I got an excellent coffee creamer, regular size, for like 42 cents a container! I bought a lot of them. That's not common, but it happened. They have pretty good specialty stuff too. I love their household items! I've gotten cool rugs and towels, really different designs n cool as heck! They have kitchen stuff and a few things for the car like trunk organizers and I recently bought a padded seat that heats up. Doesn't get super hot, but my tush doesn't need to be on fire, so that's fair. It was only 20 bucks too! Works fine, the seat and the back heat up a bit but only in the middle. Hey for $19.99, it works for me! Actually it's for my cat when I take him on car trips. Lol So, I highly recommend Grocery Outlet. It's got a lot of food stuff, and non-food stuff like markers and outdoor decorations, especially fit the holidays, and just different unrecorded things that are cool and you didn't know you had to have it until you saw it! It's very fun, and less expensive than most stores.”
“I have decided that every Trader Joe's has its own personality. Yes, it's Trader Joe's. Yes, you'll find many of the same favorites from one store to another. But somehow each location still manages to feel a little different, and the West Seattle Trader Joe's has its own vibe. And believe me, I know my Trader Joe's. 😂 I've shopped at them from the West Coast to the East Coast, north to south—or is it north to south and then west to east? Either way, I've been to A LOT of Trader Joe's. For a grocery chain that isn't actually worldwide, it certainly feels like it has worldwide recognition. And thanks to those famous—or should I say inFAMOUS—Trader Joe's bags, the brand has somehow developed a culture all its own. What keeps me coming back, though, is the food. Trader Joe's is one of my favorite places to shop when I'm trying to eat healthier without handing over my entire paycheck at the register. There are always interesting choices, plenty of reasonably priced staples, and something new that somehow ends up in my cart even though it definitely wasn't on my shopping list. Do they have everything? No. Do they have close enough to everything that I somehow leave with a full bag anyway? Absolutely. The West Seattle location continues what I've come to expect from Trader Joe's: helpful people, a good selection, reasonable prices, and an atmosphere that doesn't make grocery shopping feel like a chore. The employees generally seem genuinely happy to be there, which makes a difference. After visiting so many Trader Joe's around the country, I can honestly say it's rare that I find one I don't like. West Seattle, you're another good one. Now excuse me while I figure out how I came in for three things and somehow left with two bags of groceries and something I've never eaten before. 😂”

“My go-to spot for a quick lunch break for delicious teriyaki, fried rice, and noodle dishes. I used to eat there often. THEY ARE DELICIOUS ! You can also grab any drinks you want ( alcohol or non alcohol ) since they have everything you would normally find in a convenience store or gas station mini mart. They also have really delicious Spam musubi, and if you are heading to the gym, it is a great stop to grab quick boiled eggs or a protein shake. They pretty much have everything in one place, a restaurant next to it, a hot deli, and a mini mart. They even have some Burmese ( Myanmar ) goodies and snacks displayed if you want to try something new and different. The owners are very friendly, which makes the place even better. It is definitely one of my favorite go-to spots. Lots of parking for your convince. Support local businesses ??”

“Hello this particular location is not 24 hours but in fact is closed between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. when it opens again Same as you would in most other WinCo's, it is clean and organized, well stocked. :-) I have no complaints. Everybody was there working doing their job, they were doing deliveries so the aisles were really crowded right before closing with pallets of things to be stalked but that's to be expected in a store that does that much business. And also understandably because they are not 24 hours, people that were the cashiers and such we're getting kind of tired but nobody was rude by any means and all of the patrons were also not rude and we're just rushing along to make sure everybody got through so the workers could go home. 5 out of 5 stars for cleanliness, stock, and everybody working with nobody slacking.”
“I’m so glad Punjab Grocery Bazaar opened up under the new owners — they’re super kind and always make you feel welcome! The store has an awesome selection of Indian groceries and snacks, and everything is really well organized. The sweets are my favorite part — the gulab jamun and barfi are always fresh and taste amazing! You can tell they really care about quality. “My goodness. I wish I knew what days is the owner there because i want to see her. I miss her. I have not seen her in YEARS because it's been a long time since I've been to that store. I miss eating fish and dinner rolls with her LoL from the Asian market across the street. She is such a wonderful person. We use to sit for hours talking when she first open her little store that she moved out of. Good times. I'm very proud of what she has accomplished with the her business. “First off I'll just start by saying I am American and not from the middle east. However I've been on a middle eastern food kick lately, trying all kinds of different things and making some new recipes. There are several shops along Pacific Hwy that sell various types of middle eastern foods. I tried this place tonight because they make pizza and kabobs. They are both excellent. The pizza is unlike any other flavors I've tried before, yet still familiar enough to most American style pizzas. It came with ketchup which I found interesting and wouldn't typically use this condiment on pizza, however on this particular pizza I just added a little and it was surprisingly good actually. Somehow the tanginess of the ketchup went with this pizza. Really amazing flavors all around. Perfectly cooked dough, nice and chewy on the crust with lots of crispy bits of cheese. The kabobs are filling my whole car and house with good smells right now. These are not the same as typical kabobs you might find at a middle eastern style food truck. These are Chapli Kebabs and they are flat, burger shapped patties rather than chunks of meat that are cooked on a skewer. Comes with nice freshly baked bread, very soft and saw lots of people coming into the store just to buy this bread as well. They have a pretty good selection of all kinds of other random stuff and lots of dried fruits and nuts as well as some Lebanese style cheeses, homemade yogurt, homemade pickles and other things. I don't think Americans typically shop here but they were very kind towards me. You will have to ask them about ordering the food as there really was no menu or anything that I saw. I think most people going here already know what they have/want type of situation, so I'm posting pics of what I ordered just for reference. Seriously good food and kind people!”

I also shop at the farmer's market so I rotate on and off with PCH. So far they have had excellent quality fruit/veg and everything has been fresh. The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
